Can I use this product with my turtle in the water?

It's recommended to remove the turtle(s) during any water change or cleaning.
Does this dechlorinate the water for turtles??

Works well.

We had ordered these as a last resort when we had problems keeping our turtle aquarium clean. It is the most incredible cleaner!! AND ITS ECONOMICAL!! We’ve tried so many & sadly thought exchanging our filter system was our only option left. Since we have used (a meager amount of) Exo Terra, our 2 side neck turtles are much happier, our feeder fish-turned-friends are nearly too big, the aquarium goes 3 times as long before cleaning time, and we have more free time!! Exo Terra Biological is a no-brainer for families who love happy aquatic friends but don’t care to smell them ... AND love more personal play time!!

I don't TRUST government water

It's a must have for critters used to fresh water. If I could fill the tank with this I would, however it's cheaper to buy spring H2O !

ONLY Product for Turtles

DO NOT go by review saying it doesn't work! My kids have 2 RES that we've had since they were the size of a quarter. They are almost 6 yrs. old now. They are in a huge tank w/2 AquaClear 110 filters using Zeo-Carb, foam & Bio-Media filtration along w/2 Zoo Med ReptiSun High Output UVB lights and a Eheim Jager heater. They are NOT fed in their tank. I make sure they have a Nutri-Fin calcium "turtle" at all times. I add 10 ml of the Exo Terra Turtle Clean by each filter once per week. They're tank NEVER smells. People come to my house can't tell we have turtles or a dog. The water stays crystal clear and I don't have to break down the tank but every 3 months! I've tried other brands of liquid cleaners. Never again!!! I've got it down to the easiest way to care for them now and don't plan to change. I hope this helps someone.

Opposite of clean

I bought this product hoping to clear up my turtle's cloudy tank. I used the product as detailed on the back, hoping it would promote good bacteria growth and finally get her tank clear again. This product not only left residue floating in her water, but made her tank smell AWFUL. I have never had her tank smell this terrible. I fully changed her water, cleaned out the filter, and stopped using this product. I decided to wait a while to let the water cycle through on its own, and it's now clear again. This product will only make your tank smelly and dirtier.
