Is this sand good for leopard geckos
Answer by ChewyDec 07, 2018
Sand ingestion is a bigger risk for juveniles so sand is not usually recommended to be used with juvenile geckos. Healthy adult, properly supplemented geckos are less likely to ingest sand. This product is safe for most reptiles including lizards, snakes, and tortoises.

How many bags do you recommend for a 20 gallon tank?
Answer by ChewyNov 14, 2019
The amount of bags needed will depend upon how deep you'd like the bedding. Ideally, it's recommended for the bedding depth to be 1 to 2 inches. If making a 1-inch thick bedding, it's equal to 1 pound of substrate per gallons of tank. If making a 2-inch thick bedding, it's equal to 2 pounds of substrate per gallons of tank.

Too thin and powdery

This sand is like powdered sugar, it sticks in between my lizard's scales and is hard to get off of her.

To the person that said don't use sand with reptiles

If your getting it for an animal that does NEED sand get this. Look online with a QUICK google search you will know if you should use sand in that specific animals enclosure. Im getting it for a bannded skink and a sand fish skink they basicllay swim through the sand or could stay in the sand for a LONG time

Not A Good Idea To Use!

It breaks my heart to have to give this reptile sand 1 star, but I have to. This sand is not recommended for bearded dragons due to a high risk of swallowing the sand and becoming impacted, which is painful for a beardie. The sand itself is gorgeous, I just couldn't use it due to that issue.

Defult In My Order

My sand had a hole in the bag, which resulted in me losing almost half of my purchase.

Perfect for my bearded dragon

This works great for my son's bearded dragon! I defiantly like it better than the stuff I was getting from the pet store because it's way less dusty.

Great Quality Product!

The sand is very high quality and feels like real sand you would see at the beach or elsewhere. Much better than other sand we've or lurched in the past. The color is also very nice and complements our terrarium.
