I have a King snake in a 55 gallon tank, how many bags of substrate are recommended to use in this size tank?

The general rule of thumb to use is to plan 1 pound of substrate per gallon to achieve a 1" bed, or 2 pounds per gallon for a 2" bed. For a 55 gallon tank, you would need about 6 bags for a 1 inch bed of substrate.
