Ensure your desert reptile has proper UVB levels with the Exo Terra Desert UVB 150 Reptile Lamp. Reptiles require UVB light to absorb and metabolize calcium which is essential for healthy bone growth and preventing metabolic diseases. Exo Terra Desert UVB 150 Reptile Lamp has a very high UVB output similar to natural desert environments where there is more direct sunlight and more UV exposure. This bulb can also be used on screened terrariums or terrariums with dense screen covers to ensure UVB penetration.

My Redfoot tortoise, LittleFoot, seems to be always cold, even if it is 90 degrees. Vet check ok.....Little loves this heat emitter, I have it above it's sleeping hole (a hole dug out under a 1/2 log sold on Chewy) have another on a timer to warm the other half of Little's winter enclosure. The lamp over Littles bedroom is 24/7, over the other half is 14 hours during the day. LittleFoot eats very well because of the warmth, and rests comfortable at night. (I have a laser thermometer to check the temp without disturbing Little. I am really, really happy to have a heat emitter, not just a lightbulb, for Little. Our lightbulb is a uva,ugh available from Chewy though.

This product was great for my turtle tank. Although it did not last as long as expected, it kept my turtles happy and healthy in the time being.
The cost was good

Lasted barely 7 days then died. No burn out marks, just dead! Waste of money. Only gave 1 star because you are required to put something.
Love it!! just a little long

My bearded dragon loves it. Her own little ray of Sunshine. Just wish it wasn’t as long, goes about 1 1/2” past my hood dome. Other than that we are both happy :)
EXCELLENT FOR DESERT SNAKES

This light is incredible! I use it to provide UVB to my Mexican Black Kingsnake (not as a heat source). The bulb does not overheat like others I’ve used & the light is so natural!

First time using this bulb but I have no complaints, works good and does the job.

Bought with impression from reviews/description this could be used as a heat source for basking and uv source. Was excited to be able to get both for $9. Only increase temp of baking spot by 3 degrees after giving it some time. Nice bright light and much cheaper here than other sites so gave 2 stars
Research animals it is good for

This light has many positivites, but many people use it for bearded dragons. Coil bulbs such as this one do not work well for bearded dragons. They need a tube uvb that covers 3/4ths of their enclosure.
This bulb is decent for other reptiles.
We love it
