I use this as a substrate for my praying mantis. It’s soft and helps retain humidity. Very easy to clean and can be cut to size.

When putting this up some I the dye rubbed off on my hands. Hopefully that won’t be an issue because other that that I really like it

Love this Subterrane in my ball python Terrarium. Easy to clean and looks so much better than a paper towel or newspaper. I bought 2 and just rotate between them!

Creating dioramas easy to cut, manipulate, etc. More natural looking color variation would add to their realism. Otherwise, i love these matts, the best i have found for creative purposes.

So far so great! I previously had real moss as her substrate and it was such a pain to clean and replace. You cut the mat to fit whatever sized space you have and can take it out and rinse whenever it gets dirty. SO much easier to maintain than anything we've had before and I also no longer have to worry about her accidentally ingesting 'loose' substrate. I'm a little unsure how well it does at holding moisture. Water sits on the top of the mat for a while but eventually either evaporates or absorbs. This is perfect for my AFT as spraying in the AM and PM keep the levels regular, but it'd be a little concerned with a reptile that requires a lot of moisture without having a mister or something So far so great!
