The fountain pulled up as a recommended product, so I thought I'd give it a try. In theory, setup is really simple, in practice not so much. You have to attach the pump to a hose secured inside the upper portion of the fountain, but the hose is so short, and the fountain is so small that you have no maneuver room to attach the pieces together. And the edges of the inside of the fountain are so sharp that I actually cut myself trying to connect them. Once those pieces are connected the hose is actually then too LONG to properly position the pump in the fountain well, which means the pump is very noisy and can't cycle the water properly, leading to it, no doubt, burning out quickly. All around, just a very poorly designed product.
Works well for a short while. Tube from pump to dome is way too long, so it doesn't sit right without carefully trimming the tube. Ran fine for a little while, then on and off decides it's true calling is being a sprinkler, regardlessof how I adjusted the flow rate. Which is fine if you've decided your gecko terrarium would make for an awesome swamp some day. Haven't had a "natural" looking fountain work out yet. Recommend you avoid this particular fountain, especially at it's current price.
