I have tried multiple things to limit the noise to no avail: a solid I've had the 12in wheel for a few weeks and it makes a constant metal clicking noise when my hamster runs on it. Some previous reviews mention the screw coming loose as the source of the noise but mine stays tight and is still noisy. I have tried multiple things to limit the noise to no avail: a solid layer of bedding underneath to make sure the stand isn't rattling, tightening the screw, re-assembling the wheel, etc. I'm thinking I might have gotten a defective one since I suspect the noise is coming from the "silent" ball bearing, but def. something to keep in mind before you buy. … more
