Instructions

Slip harness over dog’s head and adjust belly strap to proper fit. If the belly strap does not fit move to the next size.
Once the belly strap fits, take the harness off your dog to adjust the one time chest adjustment, if needed. Slide the neoprene sleeve to one side and adjust the sandwich fuzzy fastener. The red safety patch in the fuzzy fastener must be hidden.
Slip the harenss over your dog’s head and click buckle into place
If the belly strap fits, but the chest strap does not, consider the chest plate harness as an alternative.

Important: Straps should fit snug with the ability to squeeze 2 fingers under webbing.

Size

To get the most accurate harness size for your furry best friend, match the below measurements as closely as possible to your pal's measurements using the Printable Measuring Tape on this page.

Chest Girth: Measure around the widest part of your dog’s torso, right behind the front legs. Leave room for two fingers to ensure comfort.

Lower Neck Circumference: Harnesses sit lower on the neck than collars, so measure around lower part of the dog’s neck.

If your pet falls in between two sizes, we recommended purchasing the larger size.

What width is the harness material in sz. XS? Is it 3/8" ?

The X-Small harness is 1/2 inch wide, the Small harness is 3/4 inches wide, the Medium and Large harnesses are 1 inch wide, and the X-Large harness is 1.5 inches wide.

Is the adjustable Velcro chest strap strong enough to hold a large dog that pulls?

This product has the Velcro portion covered by the neoprene chest strap and is designed for strong pullers.

Our husky is strong and is in and out of lakes every day on her daily run/ walks. Will this hold up with frequently getting wet?

EzyDog began with a group of dog-loving water enthusiasts who wanted to create dog products that met the needs of their rugged lifestyles. So both the nylon and neoprene are durable materials in water. We still recommend making sure the harness is drying or hung to dry when not in use.

My dog is getting old and has arthritis in her back legs. The harness she has work for years came from Ikea (believe it or not) but it's getting very worn. Is the strap on the back good to use as a handle to help her when she needs a little support getting up or down?

The grab handle works great to help assist an older dog up and down steps and in and out of a vehicle. Keep in mind that it is not center weighted, so it is best for assisting them up and down and not lifting them entirely off the ground.

Great Harness for Moderate Pullers

I walk an Italian water dog who likes to pull to sniff absolutely everything as that's what this breed is bred for, hunting truffles. She had an older style Ezydog harness that her mom can't find so I bought this as a replacement. She has a somewhat odd bodyshape that doesn't work well with the Easy Walk brand. This harness has helped immensely, automatically much less pulling. Would I recommend for a super puller pit bull or shepherd? No, but for a moderate puller this is great. Just enough pressure across the front to dissuade them. She's about 40 pounds and I got the large because her chest is large and knew the medium would be too tight.

Fitment

I ordered an EZYDOG harness. I requested medium. I got a harness marked medium but it is by far a small. I have an older EZYDOG medium that fits my dog nicely but is getting old. I have read similar reviews stating the same problem. Maybe Chewy should look into the problem.
