I bought the Gourmet Fancy Feast line to upgrade my kittens' nutrition from the regular Fancy Feast kitten line (Tender Feast Variety Pack in 4 flavors - chicken/turkey/salmon/ocean whitefish). I was expecting to see white meat like the picture on its label when i opened the can but I was thoroughly disappointed. Apparently, the "Gourmet" line smells exactly the same and it looks in color identical to the chicken flavor of the Tender Feast Variety line. Only difference is that the meat texture is finer and smoother. Yet it costs almost double than the equivalent chicken flavor can of the Fancy Feast Variety line (i'm always refering to the kitten lines). Not buying this again for the amount Fancy Feast charges, I felt duped to buy essentially the same Fancy Feast Variety only more expensive for a finer crumb. There are other brands with a lot better ingredients and formulas out there that don't fool their customers with rebranding and upcosting the same product.
Fancy feast is always a go-to when one of my cats are being picky. Im happy FF has this healthier version, grain-free and made of chicken rather than chicken by-products. My one complaint is that the chicken flavor contains fish as an ingredient. I do not like to feed my cats fish because they contain mercury.
My kittens were eating a food recommended to me. The very expensive food was causing really bad diarrhea. Went to the vets for a work up and discovered it was the food. Vet recommended kitten fancy feast naturals. With in 2 days they were back to normal-! Don’t buy the expensive food!
I have two small kittens, I bought expensive canned food for them, but alas, they didn't eat them, and these eat with pleasure, thanks
i do not have a kitten...but i volunteer at our local animal shelter...and like all small shelters , we are overflowing with cats and kittens.....it takes a LOT of food to feed them all, and it is expensive. we get very little funding from the city for necessities, like food....so i buy what i can for them. i order this kitten food because it seems to agree with them, and they like it. though it is expensive to feed to so many, it is a better price than many others
new kittens about 8 weeks old don't like this food. They tried to cover their bowls with their blanket in the cage.
My kitten that is 10 weeks old and will not even try to eat Fancy Feast kitten chicken flavor. He in fact tries to bury it in his dish. I wasted money on trying it. I should have just bought a few cans instead of a case. Needless to say, this cat food is not to my kitten's liking.
One of the cans was dented but other than that very good. My cat Hayley enjoys this food.
The food is great. It is the delivery is not. Still not bringing package to door as requested.
Tried this because of its really good ingredients and to give my new kitten more variety in his diet. Not only is it a LOT less expensive than the Blue Buffalo I usually give him, but my wee one ravenously chows it down. If I was on a budget I would choose this brand exclusively. Their customer service is to die for too as they fully refunded my purchase last year when my foster kitten would not eat it.
