Description

Every Farmina food is made with the best ingredients with the correct amounts of protein, fats, limited carbohydrates and advanced long life vitamins and minerals. The Natural & Delicious Grain-Free formulas are comprised of 70% animal ingredients (pre-cooking weight) and 30% vegetables, fruits, vitamins and minerals. These diets are also quite different from competing foods because they use better quality protein sources that are devoid of bone, so ash is as low as 7.80% and calcium and phosphorous levels are controlled.

Key Benefits
  • The #1 ingredient in this high protein, limited carbohydrate, and low fiber all life stage dog food is deboned chicken. It's been formulated without grains or gluten and with a small kibble size, perfect for small and medium breed puppies.
  • 92% of protein is from quality animal sources which makes for a low ash content. Ingredients are also fresh and never frozen for optimum nutrition.
  • It's a low glycemic formula so it's a great option for pets that need a food that won't spike blood sugar.
  • This GMO-free formula doesn't contain peas, lentils, pea protein, chickpeas, or added plants oils.
  • Natural omega fatty acids promote healthy skin and coat while added pomegranate and berries are rich in antioxidants to help fight free radicals.

  • Really Good but not Great for the Cost

    By on

I was really hoping this would be THE food for our 4 month old mini-Aussie/Corgie mix puppy. She has been eating another high quality brand because that's what the breeder was feeding, without any issues, but we prefer a grain free diet so once that supply became low, we decided to transition her to something new. This food got such high marks - we really wanted to give it a try. First, I'll just say she doen't go running for it and gobble it down. She'll eat it, but doesn't seem excited for it. She ate the other more readily. Second, it has a pretty strong smell, which is a bit off-putting, and something I haven't really experienced with other dry dog foods. The texture is interesting - the kibbles almost seem oily, with a bit more softness to them. We will finish the bag - which unfortunately will take a while because it only came in one large size - but will be searching for an alternative. I think it's a very high quality food, but our pup just doesn't love it and between her reaction and the smell, we'll look for something else given the price point. … more

  • Good quality

Would LOVE to see this in a smaller size. When my dog was younger I always bought the largest bag because it’s the most cost effective. He was super active and super hungry, and we got through the food in a timely manner. BUT- It seems to be very common for older dogs to not want to eat the same food for more than several weeks at a time. So even if you intended to rotate kibble, you’d still have to store 5/6ths of this gigantic bag for a couple of months til it was time to cycle it back in. Personally, I don’t have the space for that.

  • what a superb dog food!

ok - it is pricey - but the food forms solid stools, is highly palatable, does not contain controversial ingredients such as peas or soy. This was highly recommended to be by a reproductive vet. All my breeding age girls are getting this!! (are you kidding??? this program wouldn't let me call a female dog by its scientific name.... crazy)

  • Am very happy with this food....

For many years, I had fed my babies a well know brand of food. I switched to it,when the ingredients changed in the well known food I was feeding at that time. When I lost my last baby I never expected to have any more. Then a year ago, my precious Pug, Gabi, came in my life. The breeder asked what I was going to feed her. I told her the brand I was going to get, as I had good luck with it for years. When I was asked what it was, I was then asked when I had checked the ingredients. When I checked,I was so shocked. I trusted the brand, and had become complacent, and hadn't checked in years,I felt so badly I had fed this to my babies for the last years. My breeder recommended Farmina. I was amazed. If anyone had ever told me I would be feeding imported food, I would have thought they were nuts. I encourage anyone looking for food, to compare the ingredients with Farmina. Gabi is so satisfied with it. Her coat is soft and looks so good~~~no, it doesn't help with her forever shedding, as Pugs do. She is full of energy, she is strong, and healthy. The size of the pieces are perfect for her. She actually prefers a piece of her food or a blueberry for a treat. It does not adversely affect her digestive system. The food is very well packaged, and it has been shelf stable. I am just so grateful that my breeder told me about it so I could do my research. I can't imagine feeding anything else now.... … more

  • She loves this stuff!

    By on

My 8 month lab mix has hated every food we have tried. I contacted Farmina and they sent a sample. She gobbled it up! Could it be? I ordered a bag from Chewy and she ate it dry!!! Every other food I've had to mix with wet or stock and beg her to eat. I couldn't be happier.. and the ingredients are excellent. Gluten free, non-GMO. Love it!

  • Because my owner cares about my longevity!

    By on

New to the pup parenting world, asked around and did some research on my own. This product is the best for him, grain free and more. I am health conscious for what I put in my body, so Jake is no different in my mind. He gets the best, even it means from Italy! Had to do some conversions from metric to U.S. for food measurements, but no biggie. Jake transitioned from his Purina One seamlessly over a two week period.

  • My Frenchies love this

    By on

My two French bulldog puppies did not care for the previous brands I was feeding which was what the sellers had started them on. They gobble this down and lick each other’s faces when done eating. Their body composition looks better without potbellies but still stocky in the midriff. They look healthy and are growing fast. And they poop less I believe this low fiber, high protein diet agrees with them. It is as the name states; nutritious and delicious!

We are very happy with this kibble. We just got a new puppy and the breeder recommended this food. Our little Chip is doing great on it.
