    I got a rescue cat with a horrible coat - insane shedding & nasty flaking skin. I could tell Jack has a tendency to be overweight, so I wanted a low glycemic food. It took him almost 2 weeks to accept this food, simply because he was on a high carb food first & I didn't switch the food gradually enough I got a rescue cat with a horrible coat - insane shedding & nasty flaking skin. It took him almost 2 weeks to accept this food, simply because he was on a high carb food first & I didn't switch the food gradually enough... He missed his carbs & he was very clear about it. Since we got over that, he loves this food!! My other cat eats anything, so she obviously loves it too. Now that Jack's been on this food consistently for a few months (I tried MANY foods with him at first), his coat is shiny, he sheds less, no puking up his food & very little flaking skin. He's a little overweight, but he's not gaining & my other cat is skinny so although I feed twice a day, I don't take the food away to further limit Jack's intake.     Is it pea free?

    I bought this product because of a filter that specified pea free foods. When I got the package and was reading the ingredients I found peas listed as a subset of the fiber added. As a result I've limited the consumption of my one cat with a pea allergy. They (8 in all) are eating their mix of dry I bought this product because of a filter that specified pea free foods.
