We have fed Farmina for years, and were very disillusioned to see the changes they made this year. They made their cans larger to give the impression that you are getting more food. In reality they reduced their contents by almost half an ounce per can with no reduction in price. Every single can is now half empty and what little contents you do get are almost half broth. The total calorie count dropped by twenty percent and our cats were crying in hunger all day after starting the new cans. Our cats love the taste of farmina the most, but we cannot let them starve, nor can we afford to start feeding three cans a day, to provide the same amount of nutrition that we used to get from two.
We feed N&D kitten dry and they love it. I know they make a great product, so I tried the wet kitten food. I wanted to give 5 stars, but that's not correct.
We brought home an underweight kitten from the shelter and within 7 weeks of feeding him one-half can to one can of N&D Chicken and Pomegranate wet food formula mixed into his dry food he now is at his best weight and his medium-length fur is so silky! He is beyond playful and happy. No "cons" to report other than admitting that this is a pricey food - and I rarely (if never) see a sale on it.
I got a kitten and was given the food she was being fed, I introduced this in one fell swoop and she eats it so much better than she eats her old food. She LOVES it! I mix in water since she is bad about drinking and a probiotic to keep her gut healthy and she still loves it. Great stuff!
Have natural ingredients and my cat loves this food.
I received a small bag of Farmina dry food from my friend and my kitten loves it. However, he didn’t like this wet version and barely at half of the 2.8oz can.
Ordered this to replace a different morning meal that was becoming difficult to find and was inconsistent in quality. My kitties seem to love this food. The amount is equal to the small canned food which was a little disappointing because the cans look larger in the picture (I didn’t check the ounces on the description). The cans are shorter and a bit wider. The contents, though, appear to be good quality and as I said, my kitties gobble it up. My only complaint is the cans are more difficult to open as I have arthritis. Great product overall.
Lilly is 10 years old and every single other food on the market makes her sick. I stumbled upon this and thought, give it a go and low and behold Lilly loves it and most importantly it does not make her sick. I wish it were available at more pet shops and I have not seen the dry food anywhere. I live in Vancouver, British Columbia.
I’m currently fostering 3 kittens and tried a bunch of food for them when it was time to wean them off the bottle. This food is by far the favorite amongst the 3 babies! I tried Weruva, Merrick, and Farmina. While they did like the previous brands, once I gave them this one, it was over. Now my problem is they want to keep eating and can polish a whole can easily. I recently took them t the vet for a checkup and the vet said they’re amazed at how healthy they are. I do think it’s mostly because of the food.
My kitten would only lick the broth and leave all the solid behind which becomes very dry without the broth. I thought if my kitten likes it at least it is worth the splurge of spending more than other brand. I will go back to Core Wellness for kitten.
