Description

Every Farmina food is made with the best ingredients with the correct amounts of protein, fats, limited carbohydrates and advanced long life vitamins and minerals. The Natural & Delicious Grain-Free formulas are comprised of 70% animal ingredients (pre-cooking weight) and 30% vegetables, fruits, vitamins and minerals. These diets are also quite different from competing foods because they use better quality protein sources that are devoid of bone, so ash is as low as 7.80% and calcium and phosphorous levels are controlled.

Key Benefits
  • The #1 ingredient in this high protein, limited carbohydrate, and low fiber all life stage cat food is lamb. It's been formulated without grains or gluten so it's great for pet parents concerned with allergies or sensitivities.
  • 97% of protein is from quality animal sources which makes for a low ash content. Ingredients are also fresh and never frozen for optimum nutrition.
  • It's a low glycemic formula so it's a great option for pets that need a food that won't spike blood sugar.
  • This GMO-free formula doesn't contain peas, lentils, pea protein, chickpeas, or added plants oils.
  • Natural omega fatty acids promote healthy skin and coat while added pomegranate and berries are rich in antioxidants to help fight free radicals.

Great for Cats With Food Allergies

    By on

My cat has a chicken and recently discovered pea allergy. She can do both in small doses but not if they're one of the main ingredients. When her previous dry food from a different manufacturer was discontinued (duck and potato), I searched high and low for a new food and went through several. Finally found this one and was elated. She took to it right away, almost preferring it over her wet food (rabbit) which was surprising. Only owners of cats with food allergies can understand the joy of seeing solid poop in the litter box.

    My cat loves it!

    By on

I am changing her diet from dried food to wet food these days. But, I do need to feed her dried food when I go to work and stuff, so I was looking for a quality dried food that wouldn't be as bad. It seemed good to me, and more importantly, my kitty finds it tasty as well!! She became more picky about dried food since I fed her wet food, but she nevertheless loves this!

Thankfully I can get this through Chewy!

My boy cat LOVES this!! A bit more expensive but totally worth it. I'm never sure he's eating the canned food but never worry about him eating if this is in the dry bowl! I haven't tried other flavors - the lamb and blueberry makes him happy!

    Absolutely love this!

    By on

With my first kitty she had difficulty with any brands of food. Would always throw up some of it. Took her to vet and they recommended an grain free cat food. I tried few brands and she didn’t take to them, but my coworker at time recommended this brand. She absolutely loves it and has had zero throw ups since. So far this one is her favorite

    Cats approve

    By on Top 100 Contributor

I think this is one of the best Non-GMO dry cat food products on Chewy for the price. My cats love it, and since Chewy has dropped a lot of other Non-GMO brands that I used to buy, I've been sticking with Farmina.

    Formula changed.

    By on

The manufacturer discontinued this line. Chewy sent me the new food. They fixed it of course, but if you are looking for a pea-free food this is NOT it. New formula has peas plus some other ingredients.

    All 3 cats love Farmina!

    By on Top 10 Contributor

My 3 cats have been on Farmina for quite awhile and this Lamb & Blueberry version is one of their favorites. This food has completely stopped my 4 yr. old guy from vomiting after eating, when all other high quality foods have failed in that area. There has been no vomiting for months so it must be easily digested. All 3 cats have had no problems with any of the N&D proteins (Lamb, Boar, Duck, etc) that I rotate on a daily basis. I checked the Farmina website and saw that they manufacture/sell an extensive line of grain free cat foods, many available in 11 lb. bags. I've also tried some of the versions that Chewy doesn't carry (Pumpkin & Duck, Lamb Weight Management, etc.) all with the same success My 3 cats have been on Farmina for quite awhile and this Lamb & Blueberry version is one of their favorites. All 3 cats love this food so much that this is all they want to eat, even preferring it to their favorite wet food. I've had to put them on measured portions because they have no self control with this food. If allowed, they would definitely overeat themselves into a state of obesity. I wish Chewy carried more varieties of Farmina and also offered larger bags. The 11 lb. bags would be perfect since I have 3 cats that are loving this food and it's not cost effective to buy so many of the 3 lb. bags. I'm glad that I tried Farmina food because it totally changed my 4 yr. old (barfing) guy's life forever. Added perks ..... all 3 cats agree on the kibble size/taste, their fur is so shiny and less waste in the litter boxes. … more

My cats love this zero grain food

Cats love this dry food and I love the quality ingredients, zero artificial preservatives and zero grains or GMO ingredients. If you feed dry food, this is one of the better products IMO.
