    Sick, Picky kitty loves

By michelebythesea on Feb 16, 2021

So happy to find this. Both cats with recent serious health problems, gobbled up. They had refused all other healthy popular brands found in even the "health" pet stores. So glad I found this brand. Contribute their other health problem from the only wet, food they would eat.Which was only 10% protien(purina 1)Except for people pure foods,we gave. Too late for 1 of the cats(aggresive cancer) but hopefully will help control symptoms, for time left. They both turned 10 this yr.

Farmina Natural & Delicious Prime Boar & Apple Canned Cat Food

By TXDashopaholic on Jan 23, 2021

My little Octagenerian kitty ate this the first time really well. Must be because it was new. After that, she would only eat a little bit then walk away. Now, I can't get her to eat any of it. Bummed, because even though I don't like the smell, you would think kitties would. It has very good ingredients and no ick stuff. It is pricey, but if your cat likes it, it is well worth it. She does like their Boar and apple kibble though. Go figure cats!

    Cats like it so far

By Janice on Jan 26, 2021

I purchased this because I wanted to try a novel protein for my two cats with food allergies. They like it a lot, although it remains to be seen if it helps with the allergies. It is fairly chunky, so I add a little water and mash with a fork.

    Favorite of our finicky cats

By Catfood on Feb 17, 2021 Top 1000 Contributor

Would recommend for finicky cats. We tried a few of the fish, the chicken, and the lamb recipes to some success. This boar and apple recipe seems to be a favorite.

    Fantastic Food

By Alexandra on Dec 14, 2020 Top 1000 Contributor

My cats love Farmina cat food particularly the canned Boar and Apple. They eat only Farmina wet and dry; I think it's an excellent pet food company. The food is actually meat not pate that isn't recognizable as meat/fish and smells normal, not fake if that makes sense. It costs a bit more, but is definitely worth it.

    All natural Highly recommend

By DaveM on Jan 24, 2021

I'm always searching for no meat by product food. My cats love this. It's a bit expensive to only order one box. By a bigger order to cut shipping

it’s okay for a change of flavor

    By 4footers on Oct 16, 2020

I purchased this because the Farmina is a high quality moist cat food. My girls love the dry and do very well on it . I do add supplements to their dry but I am always searching for a high end moist. I have been buying the moist chicken blend but by morning it was touched but not fully eaten... Okay let’s try another flavor... Not a fan of pork products ,even for myself, I figured I would give it a try. Alpha kitty ,no like ; other kitty did like ; human person ,no like . Why ? Too much grizzle and skin pieces which took up a 1/4 of the can . But 2nd kitty ate it. I will use up the case for her but I will not purchase again...

    Cats prefer a pate.

    By zm1014 on Aug 16, 2020 Top 10 Contributor

Since my 3 cats love the Farmina dry food, I decided to try them on this Farmina wet food. I know that they prefer their wet food in pate but I thought it was worth a try. My cats are picky about their wet food so most don't even survive the sniff test. This food seems to be a combination of pate & small chunks with a broth that turns into a gravy when a little water is mixed into the food. As expected, one cat that dislikes wet food wouldn't touch it so no surprise there. The other two would eat the finely ground pate part and lick every bit of the broth/gravy in the bowl and off the chunks, leaving licked dry chunks in the bowl. Yes, I tried to mash up the chunks but they couldn't be fooled Since my 3 cats love the Farmina dry food, I decided to try them on this Farmina wet food. I think they would clean their bowls if this was all pate since they seemed to love the taste/smell but sadly my 6, 5 and 4 year old cats will not reconsider their overwhelming dislike of chunks in their wet food. This is a great high quality food so it still deserves 5 stars for the excellent ingredients. It even passed their ridged sniff test. Cats that don't mind chunks might really like this food. I'll have to check with Farmina to see if they make a chicken free pate version of any of their wet food. For now, it's back to the very few wet foods they view as edible. … more

Good ingredients but Enzo wouldn’t eat it.

By EnzosMom on Sep 24, 2020

It’s super expensive when you figure out how much you have to feed your cat every day, but I wouldn’t have minded if Enzo ate it, which he didn’t. Ingredients are great. It’s a smooth pate. Just be sure to look at the feeding instructions because I was pretty shocked to see he would’ve needed almost 4 cans a day.
