So far, so good!! (As in this is great!)

    By on

I recently rescued my second Great Pyrenees, and the vet who cared for him until he was able to be adopted (sever mange, hw positive, malnourished) recommended this food. It's pricey, but WORTH IT!! I was previously feeding my first GP another brand of grain-free that was less expensive, however she would have really inconsistent poops. (Yes, I do consider the times when she sneaks in a street-treat on walks, that may happen) She has been super regular and consistent since I've transistioned her to this food. I don't mind spending the little extra on them, because I enjoy good food too!! Sharing is caring!

5 stars for Farmina in general, but...

    By on

Wow, I can't believe I'm even saying this, because for me and I has been so good to my pets. I have some pets with serious food allergies and sensitivities. My Border Collie Mix who is a rescue, and gets "bored" very easily with food. She is the reason I tried the Wildboar one. I have heard that it is a very popular flavor, and wanted to change it up. She refuses to eat it until she is absolutely famished. Again, in my opinion- Farmina is by far the best kibble on the market. Not sure if my dogs are just too fancy for this flavor haha. Happy to say that I was able to donate it to a local shelter, so that is good.

    Not For Us!

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

My girl was eating the Farmina grain free fish line and doing great. She has a sensitive stomach so I transitioned to the boar over time. As she got more of the boar formula and less fish her stools got very smelly and she began to get gassy and her eyes started getting red. She seems to be intolerant to Pork! I’ll give the lamb and chicken a try next time. Otherwise I love the Farmina formulas!

    Taste is great

My 2 dogs are somewhat picky eaters. They have been scratching lately so I am trying this food. I was worried they would not like it, but I was wrong. They can smell it when I am putting it in their bowls, and start nudging me. They love it. I will let you know about the scratching in a couple of weeks.

    Best You Can Buy

    By on

My dogs aren't fussy, but I am. I look at dog foods all the time and none comes close to Farmina. The odor might be a bit strong, but get over it. I alternate between the various protein types, but they are all top shelf. I also feed less due to the high quality of the ingredients.

    Picky eater approved

    By on

Hi, my dog has only been on this a week but she loves it so far. Picky eater for sure, was on a very good quality food and just stopped eating it. A friend told me to try this, so far so good. Transitioning over but at half and half she loves it. I like the larger kibble, actually crunches it. Much cheaper locally, why is chewy so much more expensive?

Wild Boar wins an eight paws up!

    By on Top 100 Contributor

Our boys love both the Lamb and now the Wild Boar Farmina. I like the fact that the kibble size is about a nickel size in diameter. This kibble supplements the dehydrated raw food we feed them. We rotate their protein source in the hopes of offering to them a more balanced diet. In addition, they receive digestive enzymes, pre and probiotics as well as Krill oil rotated with organic virgin coconut oil. They probably eat better than we do.

    Welp, gave it a try.

We typically would get the Farmina N&D Pumpkin formula of the wild boar. Figured we’d try this one instead this time. My (rescue) border collie mix gets picky about food. She may love it at first, but definitely appreciates “variety in her life”. Lol. I will always vouch for Farmina though. Best kibble ever. Just hard when you buy a giant bag and can’t use the rest. (Brought ours to the local humane society, they were very grateful.) I suppose I should have went somewhere and gotten a sample bag first. But I figured she’d like it. I give three stars because half:half. Farmina rocks! My pup just happened to not care for the non-pumpkin varietal.

It’s a very nice product was very nice ingredients. Stopped at my dogs from itching and have a very nice coat. Unfortunately it’s also quite expensive compared to some of the other products that are out there.
