  • 2 kitties, 1 food!

    By on

I recently combined households to care for my mother. She has an 8 yr.old tuxedo female (Baby), I have a 4 yr.old white/buff short hair rambunctious boy (Bromley). He has food allergies to chicken, and is super picky with food. I have been feeding him Fish & Orange for 3+ years. I introduced Baby to this food, and she loves it also. Her coat glistens like silk now! I will say sge prefers Boar & Apple, but there is a significant % of chicken in that flavor. Both kitties love and thrive on this formula - very happy to give them quality kibble. I do purchase the 3lb bags for convenience, but much prefer the 11lb bag...Chewy! get the larger bags!!!!

  • Was Looking for Herring, but Got Alot More

    By on Top 500 Contributor

When I bought my cat a bag of Herring dry cat food, she loved it, but the Sensitive Skin and Stomach brand I purchased was causing her to lose more hair than normal, so I started looking for Herring from other source. OMG, my cat does not want any other dry food from the moment I put Farmina Natural & Delicious Wild Herring in her bowl. She absolutely loves it! And, her hair is back to being shiny and I'm no longer finding her hair everywhere. An added bonus I've noticed, at 16 yrs old, she seems to have more energy, and more interest in being sociable, like she used to be when she was younger. She seems happier ..... and I think it's because this food makes her feel better. • Both of my cats love this

    By on

I mix this with other ND dry food to give them variety. They love this food and my vet recommended it as well. Sometimes I trick them into thinking these are treats and I add a few to their treat bowls and they eat it all up. I love knowing I'm giving them high protein, low carb, grain free food. They love it and it's really good for them. It's a win/win.

  • Got a bag by accident, but now I buy it on purpose!

Great ingredients, great smell, my cat loves it, and I can tell she's been feeling better since I switched. She eats less of this than the food I was feeding her, and even her litter box smells better!

  • Excellent Dry Food Superior Ingredients Low Glycemic Feline Approved

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I’m impressed by Farmina brand grain free foods. The quality in on par with more expensive high end brands, and is more digestible for my cat because the ingredients are rather straightforward without too many to potentially cause GI upset. Herring is the favorite flavor. Low glycemic, caloric dense, perfect for my geriatric cat that need extra weight without increasing risk for diabetes. I free feed dry food and also feed wet food twice a day. Price is very reasonable considering the nutritional value and the brand reputation...and kibble doesn’t cause crumbs, it has some moisture. I feed this brand to my dog as well.

  • Litter Box Surprises!

    By on

At first, I thought "Orange?! For cats? What in tarnation is this French FruFru Food for Felines?!" It sounded absurd so I found this company on a certain social media site (like a book...of faces), messaged them requesting a sample. They answered and sent one to me! The moment I opened it, I knew their litter box was going to be smell like my dad's breath when he lectured me in the morning as a teenager. It had a strong smell, and as you know: what goes in...must come out (only smellier). But, I didn't brave social media messaging systems for nothing! We would try this stinky, orange??? flavored cat food. The moment I opened that package, I had made a mistake. My two kittes came At first, I thought "Orange?! For cats? We would try this stinky, orange??? flavored cat food. The moment I opened that package, I had made a mistake. My two kittes came bounding in like they had never been fed in their life, meowing and carrying on like I hadn't just fed them four hours ago. Fearing for my legs, I dumped the bag in a bowl before I realized what I had done. These two have never gotten along. Ever. He pounces on her, she stalks him, and they're always fighting for their food (because you know, I starve them and whatever). Well, they were so distracted by how delicious that food must have tasted that they forgot to fight. Farmina: The Feline Peacemaker. Anyway, on to the part that you started reading this review for. After they refused to eat any more of their previous food and decided they'd rather STARVE than to eat anything other than this again (not being dramatic - their food bowls remained full until I got a shipment of this food), I filled their bowls with this delicious peacemaking kibble. 48 hours later, I was expecting the worst. Turns out their litter box surprises were smaller, darker, and WAYYY less stinky. What an incredible improvement to their overly fluffy, massively fragrant clay covered gifts from before! So, in conclusion: Food is stinkier BUT their litterbox presents are smaller and less stinky, their fur coats are shinier and softer, and they are actually eating less because the food is much higher quality! Way to go, Farmina! … more

  • All 9 Cats Seem to Like It

    By on

I recently decided to buy multiple different high quality foods and let my cats choose which was there favorite. Every room showed the same result and this was the winner. I only wish I had seen that the bags don't get bigger since its a lot to feed all nine cats.

  • Farmina Natural and Delicious

    By on

My 3 cats love the two flavors I've tried. They almost think it is a treat. It does tend to make their stools harder so make certain they have other foods that have plenty of water.

  • Great healthy dry

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

All 5 of my guys love every protein that I purchase of this brand. I buy the larger bags on the farmina site. 3lbs just doesn't last long enough for 5 cats. I have the smaller bags to add different proteins to the feeding schedule.
