Usually our dogs favorite food!

Our dogs love this food! It is also one of the best dry foods on the market. They have nice shiny coats and they are both very healthy when eating this food. But the bag we recently received from Chewy caused our dogs upset stomachs and diarrhea within a couple of hours of eating their first serving from the bag. The food itself did not have the blueberry smell that it normally does. I'm not sure if it was left too long in the heat at some point and that caused it to go rancid, but it definitely didn't smell right. The bag wasn't damaged anywhere, so I have to assume it wasn't kept in a climate-controlled environment, which is really important with foods like this. I normally get this food from a pet store near my home, but thought I would try Chewy for the convenience factor. On a positive note, shipping was fast.

Best dog food

It’s been really hard to find a kibble that’s not loaded with peas & lentils. This is the only one I’ve found. Due to possible heart problems from legumes, I didnt want to feed them to my dog. She’s a picky eater and she loves this.

Picky eaters approve

My dogs are super picky. The prefer a fresh food to kibble and will only eat kibble if it's mixed with a fresh food. This is the only kibble they will eat without adding anything to it.

Large kibble :(

As much as I love this food for my 4 girls. I will be switching brands. They are smaller dogs and eat the small size kibble. Sadly the mini kibble only comes in a 15 pound bag, which only last is 17 days. I tried the lager kibble, should have bought a smaller bag to try it with, they are not eating the big kibble. Such a shame, as they did love the mini, but it to expensive to feed.

Dogs love it

I mix this with another dog food (Avoderm). Our breeder started the puppies with a mixture of foods, Farmina with Chicken was the first we used. Dogs love that. Now both dogs have a mixture with the puppy getting slightly more Farmina. High protein and can put weight on dogs. Since it is a mix, there was not a whole lot of break in time for the new blend (which Farmina suggests we do) but did not notice and digestive upsets. Dogs love it -- but they are corgis and they love all food! They look great. Plus we love how it's made and the high quality ingredients.

Teddy's favorite

Thank you for keeping this in stock - it's our very finicky poodle, Teddy's favorite and does not mess with his stomach. Also been great for skin issues!

Get what you pay for

This is probably the best dog food on the market in the US. It comes with a big price. I originally looked for all of the dog foods in the pet store that had no "meal" in them. There were only two. This is the best but it costs almost as feeding a human. I can't find some flavors in a large bag which means the price per pound is even higher.

Love the food

My dog is super picky- had her on Merick dog food she loved it however she stop eating it. I switched her to this and I have to say I’m extremely happy she eats it. Definitely a good brand. Only thing I wish it would give more of a feeding recommendation on the bag.

worth the money

I recently switched from another brand, based on the ingredients. My dogs are allergic to most proteins but lamb works for them. I have noticed shinier fur, less itching and increased fur growth on my senior dog. They are always excited for breakfast with this food. They also seem to get full faster with this food than previous. It is definitely worth the little extra money for this higher quality product.

Finally a Kibble that She Likes

My picky and food sensitive Boston Terrier really likes the Ancestral Grain Lamb & Blueberry Medium. I still need a real-food topper, but for the first time she doesn't turn her nose when its time to eat but is eager to dig in. She seems very satisfied. Her usually variable stools are now regular and look super healthy. She has boundless energy. So far, I'm very happy with my purchase.
