Thank god I did my own research before blindly listening to my vet. I now feed my pup a mix of raw (Steve’s real food) and Farmina dry topped with a spoonful of farmina canned. He absolutely loves it! Not to be too gross, but he used to have giant poops 2-3 times a day, and now, he’ll have one small one a day. We've tried this mix twice, and both times he's thrown up his food two days in a row, and then refused it afterwards. The kibble size is also quite large - Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers are about 50 pounds (think Border Collie), and while they can eat this size kibble, we prefer the smaller size kibbles. I like to feed a variety of flavors, and unfortunately we'll have to leave Farmina behind. Our review is a personal experience, and may not be what you encounter with your dogs! … more
