Unless your Veterinarian has told you otherwise, when switching your pet to a Farmina diet from a different food, we suggest making the transition over 10 Days. From days 1 to 3 we recommend feeding 75% of the old food and 25% of the new food. From days 4 to 6 feed 50% old and 50% new. From days 7 to 9 feed 25% old and 75% new. Finally, on day 10 you can start exclusively feeding the new food.

This is great dog food for the best price around. Even better, shipping is free and the food arrives in about three days. Thanks, Chewy!
It's a step above average. My dogs like it.
My dog has been eating Farmina’s grain free kibbles most of his life and he is almost 3. First when he was a baby puppy, then he ate a pure raw meat diet, but I had to switch it due to us traveling too much. So that’s when we went back to kibbles. Farmina food is great. He especially likes the boar and apple flavor as well as lamb and blueberries. My dog is very healthy w normal charts when I have his blood tested etc, despite his breed traditionally having tons of health problems. He doesn’t have stinky breath ever, nice clean teeth, no stinky ears from nasty yeast overgrowth, no tear trough stains and he has a white face, he is NOT fat even though he is not super active but goes on walks, no stinky booty problems, and has beautiful soft fur. Point being this food keeps his body in check and not a bacteria ridden yeasty disaster. He also heals very fast if he gets a scrape on his paws etc. I assume because he is so healthy. He eats 2 scoops a day along w treats etc. Since this is high protein I supplement w clean ingredient biscuit type treats to give him more regular carbs etc. As long as he’s eating his clean diet he poops perfectly. To those that say their vets don’t like this food - it’s because those vets want to put your pet on their nasty chemical ridden prescription junk that they sell in their clinics. My vets tried to tell me raw and Farmina weren’t good for my furball. Well not true as my dog doesn’t have any health issues (which I know the vets hate to admit), but yet poor dogs on the vet and commercialized junk all seem to have some type of problem whether it’s being too fat, stinky breath etc, allergies and whatnot. I’ve turned many people onto Farmina that were having issues w their pets not eating all those other crappy dog foods, once switched to Farmina they’re back to eating normally.
When I told my vet thT my rescue was on ND she said too much protein and to get him off it asap. For me, the food was rediculously expensive. Much better products at a better price. Plus, my dog is not thrilled with the food.
my dog loves this food....cast a little bit more but it's prime food..thanks Jackie
I was super excited to try this food after reading through the ingredient list. Unfortunately, even with slowly trying to transition our dogs to this food over several weeks, they had the worst diarrhea! And not just 1 of our dogs...all 3. My dogs don't seem to do well with protein that's above the mid-20s mark and switching to Earthborn Holistic is working far better for them on the Unrefined Salmon diet. If your dog can handle a higher amount of protein, this food might work for you. But steer clear if your dogs have sensitive stomachs!
A friend recently recommended this, so we tried it and it was just once and she was hooked. We love this food We switched to this for a healthy meal for my baby girl. This has made her digestive system much better.
My one-year old corgi loves farmina food. She was on the puppy formula until recently and it was a great transition!
Spike looks great and he loves his food. Chewy has great customer service and speedy delivery and this food is the best I can find..
I absolutely love all of Farmina’s kibble and use both grain-free and ancestral grains formulas in my rotation. Quality ingredients and optimal nutrition!
