Unless your Veterinarian has told you otherwise, when switching your pet to a Farmina diet from a different food, we suggest making the transition over 10 Days. From days 1 to 3 we recommend feeding 75% of the old food and 25% of the new food. From days 4 to 6 feed 50% old and 50% new. From days 7 to 9 feed 25% old and 75% new. Finally, on day 10 you can start exclusively feeding the new food.
So I read somewhere that it’s a good idea to change up the type of protein in your cats’ food on occasion because eating the same protein every day increases the chance that the cats will become sensitive to it. Almost all of the mainstream foods have either chicken or fish as the main ingredient so I bought several different small bags of lesser known brands with novel proteins as their main ingredient to try out. The Farmina is by far the favorite of all of my cats. I have 10 rescues and they never all like the same food, that is until we found the Farmina. After trying the lamb and blueberry, we also tried the wild boar and apple and they all love both flavors. Of course they would chose the most expensive of all the varieties we sampled! Now they are all turning up their nose at the old brand of cat food that we had and demanding the Farmina. Too soon to say for sure, but I believe that I am starting to see a decrease in itching and chin acne now that they are eating this food.
My cat loves the lamb and blueberry and it has helped her allergies and made her coat so much better. She loves it
My cat LOVES this brand and flavor. It may be a bit more money, but I think it is well worth it. It's not always easy to find in stores - I was happy to see that Chewy carried it.
this is the only cat food that my cat likes to eat most of the time. pet store does not carry this .
I have owned multiple extra large dog breeds and long haired cat breeds for over 60 yrs. Like most people I learned things along the way about owning pets. As you can imagine over 60 yrs the pet food industry has constantly evolved to make better foods. So I also had to adjust in feeding my pets better quality food. Right now Farmina is the very best food on the market. So I started to switch from Natural Balance LID also a great food to all Farmina. I do the switch over months very slowly to avoid the diarreah issues. Farmina has NO GRAINS OR FILLERS which are horrible to your pets health. As someone who learned a very long time ago what you feed your pets has a huge impact on their health. Yes Farmina is double or triple the price of other foods. However would all of you complainers prefer thousands of dollars in vet bills???? I had dogs who's normal life expectancy was 7-8 yrs and they lasted 14 yrs. Cats who lived to be 27 and 29. All of whom died of old age and none ever had medical issues. Just as we humans are what we eat....the same rule applies to your pets. Now you took on the responsibility of taking proper care of your pets when you got them. Would you not prefer to feed your pets a healthy food and having them live longer happy lives over spending a fortune at the vet and your pet passing away prematurely???? The answer is pretty obvious to me. I feed my 3 Ragdolls age 5, 6 and 16 all Farmina flavors- lamb, boar, ocean fish, venison and duck. I don't give them chicken as my 16 yr old is allergic which my 3 vets have advised me that they have seen an increase in cats being allergic to chicken over the past few years. Take it from a 60 yr pet owner who does her research....Farmina is the best food on the market and your pets won't have to visit the ER. In the long run you will save money on vet bills and have happy healthy pets for way longer then you even thought of.
Our 5 cats love N&D's Lamb and Blueberry food. It's great quality food and something they all love to eat. Win.
I have a young cat who is allergic to anything that has feathers , plus salmon. She had broken out all over and this Farmina Lamb and Blueberry grain-free recipe has cleared up her entire body, plus she loves it. My other cats eat it too and their fur is so silky now. They also love it. Plus, you can call Chewy if you have a question and there's no music or hold time. You can also call N&D Farmina co.
All my cats love this food! I like that it doesn't have chicken in it, so my one cat who can't have chicken can have some of this, too. I wish they had it in 6 lb bags, though, the 11 lb bags are a bit big, and the 3 lb bags are way too small. But, my cats do well on this, so I'll continue feeding it, even if the 11 lb bags are a bit big for us.
My cats really love this food. While I do not like feeding dry I give them a little each day .
I ordered this online, and as usual, it was delivered to my door two days later.
