About Farnam Fly Control Products

Three-Stage Fly Control

When it comes to fly control, you have more options than ever before. And while there’s no single solution that will completely banish these pests, Farnam’s three-stage approach—block, repel, reduce—lets you fight flies on all fronts. That means using different products for specific scenarios to achieve the most effective fly control.

Farnam’s No Fly Zone

Flies can spread diseases that are debilitating or even life-threatening. You do not want these pests hanging around your horse or barn if you can avoid it! The key to victory against flying pests is attacking them on multiple levels.

Block with Physical Barriers

The best way to keep flies off your horse’s face is to block them with a good fly mask, which also protects against dust, dirt and debris.

Repel and Kill Pests

Your horse’s environment will help determine whether a spray, spot-on or wipe-on fly repellent is best.

Reduce Pest Population

To complete the No Fly Zone, give your horse a feed-through fly control product with ingredients that work through the manure, not the body.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE REACTION!! Don’t buy!

Both of my horses broke out into huge hives, swelling in their legs, were absolutely sore to the touch after first application which was barely a mist. One of my horses colicked from the reaction and I had to call my vet!!

a good purchase

I purchased this as you were temporarily out of my trainer's recommended brand. The ingredients are the same as the PRY... brand the formula just isn't as highly concentrated. I found it to work well and feel like it's a bargain. I wish it lasted a little longer, after 24 hrs its time to reapply, but I still consider it a good purchase and will use again in the future.

Bronco Gold Equine Fly Horse Spray

Pour this in a Sprayer and spray your horse and watch the flies die.

Allergic Reaction

One of my horses got hives every time I applied. (I stopped as soon as I figured out the pattern.) Other horse was fine. I’ve used other Bronco sprays for years and tried the Gold for the added conditioners. Definitely not better.

Terrible Allergic Skin Reactions

All 5 of my horses broke out in terrible hives after using this product. 3 days later still trying to heal them an I have a show in a few days. Not sure what to do with $40 worth of spray my horses are allergic to. I feel terrible for them especially my yearling and 6 month old. Ages range from 6 mos. to 15 years and all had same reactions. Wish I had done research and seen this common complaint before purchasing. Horses have always done fine with the water based Bronco (white bottle).

Hives Hives Hives!!

Sprayed 5 horses late the other evening for first time with this formula of Bronco. I purchased a gallon. Returned home from work at 6pm following day to find all 5 horses covered in hives . I did some research on reviews all over and found this has happened to many customers. I only hope they dont get the dermatitus and blistering that some have. Pray it's gone before my next barrel race this weekend! Wish I had not spent $$ on a gallon of this stuff.

Never again!!

Used this product on all three of my horses, two of them broke out in LARGE painful, swollen areas, I would say hives, but they are usually small and round, these areas were 7-12 inches long, and followed the spray pattern. Then the next week, a friend of mine had same reaction with same spray. Had to miss out on a saddle fitting session because my horse wouldn't let me touch the areas because they were so painful...

Allergic reaction

I've never seen my mare be sensitive to any other product, but this spray left huge puffy welts in all the areas I sprayed on her. :(

Horrible Product for Sensitive Horses

Both of my Arabians were covered in huge welts an hour after application. Had to immediately give them both baths, and each horse was given 12 Benadryl's. They did come out of the allergic reaction okay, but I will never ever trust, or recommend this product.

Good product

Definitely a good product with an ok price tag. I like the range that this one covers and it doesn’t seem to bother my horse in a negative way. I will definitely continue using this one.
