    Cough Free powder

    By on Top 250 Contributor

Bought for our mini who has had a cough issue for awhile. Allergies are very common in Fl. Vet tried steroids but that really did not help as much as it should have. Using Cough Free mixed in a little feed and moistened. Still has some cough, but it is less with the cough free. Vet is coming out to do more diagnostics.

    This really works!

    By on

The hay from my local farmers was very dusty this year, due to an unusually rainy summer. Even though I shook it out and wet it down, my horses were coughing horribly. In desperation I bought this, but when I mixed it into their dinner buckets they wouldn't touch their feed. I almost gave up, but then tried putting just a little bit on their food and mixing it well. Within a week they were eating a full dose, and both of their coughs have completely disappeared.

    Might be a good product

Neither of my two horses would touch it, even with apples and molasses mixed in.

    Horse wouldn't touch it

Cannot evaluate how well this product works, because my horse refuses to eat it, even smothered in apple sauce and molasses, mixed in with senior and sweet feed. Has a terrible smell, so I don't blame her.

    this works

    By on

I've tried this on a horse that has seasonal allergies accompanied by a persistent cough. After 3-5 days of treatment, the cough was gone. Might not work for every horse, but I had good results. My horse didn't like the taste (or smell) but when mixed with applesauce and put in a syringe I was able to administer the Cough Free without much trouble at all.

Appropriately named. My 27 year old tennessee walker has heaves and has had it for years. I have been usuing this product for years. It eases his breathing and coughing, without haveing to give him cortisone meds all the time.

    Great natural remedy

A reasonably priced natural ingredient product that works well and I have never had issues feeding to my horses. However my horses don't have major issues just seasonal slight breathing issues so not sure how it would be for more debilitating allergies.
