Instructions

Bait and use trap outdoors. Remove attractant assembly from inside of trap cone. While holding trap upside down, tear open outside attractant packet. Drop water-soluble attractant pouch into trap. Handle with dry hands or use gloves. Do not open the inside pouch, it will dissolve in water. Add 16 fluid ounces of clean water up to fill line to activate attractant. Agitate lightly to disperse attractant. Slowly turn trap right side up, and hang or set on a flat surface outside in a sunlit area of high fly concentration when flies are active and where odors will not be a problem. For best results, place trap within four feet of the ground. In hot weather (above 90° F), place trap in shade for better results, in cooler weather, place trap in full sun. If placed on ground, be sure that at least ¼ inch of space is available between the trap body and ground so flies can enter. Replace trap when full of flies, or when trap contents dry out. Wash hands with soap and water after handling

  • THIS FLY TRAP REALLY WORKS!!!!

    By on

I did not know about this product but had to do something about the flies that had congregated outside my back door patio area. The doggie door isn't completely air tight and flies would get into my kitchen area. I followed the instructions that came with the trapntoss fly eliminator and placed it outside on the patio and BOY!! Within a day or two I saw no flies in the patio area, AMAZING! The dry powder packet you place in the bell shaped container is VERY foul smelling but apparently that's what flies like as they take to it like honey. You don't smell anything once the water is poured in the container and placed upright. • Works better than I had hoped for!

    By on

With three dogs regularly adorning our backyard with "surprises", we have a fly problem. This fly trap does an incredible job of trapping and killing the flies. We currently have a trap on our back patio, and there are at least a hundred dead flies. I didn't even hang it up as is recommended: I just set it in a relatively inconspicuous location, and the bait drew them in. My only suggestion for improvement would be for them to develop a reusable version of the trap and the bait. It's a lot of plastic that must be thrown away when finished with it.

  • Definitely Works!

These will catch a lot of flies! I placed 3 around my yard to bring more comfort to my dogs. Within only a couple of days there were several hundred in the trap, and after a week or so a few thousand. There are 2 negatives, but I don't know what could be done. First, the odor is strong. Initially from the attractant and now adding in thousands of dead flies. You won't want to place it very near the house. Second, cleaning amounts to emptying the trap and starting over with fresh attractant. Not really a problem, just something you should know.

  • Yes it does work

    By on

At first, I thought it wasn't working or working very well. Then after several days, more and more began to become trapped. The more that are trapped in it, the more that will be caught. After disposing it, the 2nd one I put out didn't take much time at all to accumulate a Lot of flies! I am ordering more.

  • Nope....sorry

    By on

I ordered this with high hopes. But I was just done in by the process of baiting the trap and finding a way to hang it in an inconspicuous place. The trap is much bigger than I expected. Didn’t read the specs, I guess. And the label won’t come off. Ugly thing. Gone.

  • Broke and Nasty

    By on

Ours arrived cracked. Instead of returning it, I decided to re-glue it at the base. Still leaked. The additive was disgusting, but I can say it did catch some flys, but the smell was very pungent. I'd rather deal with flys, than with this waste of plastic...don't waste your money!

  • An easy way to trap the flies.

    By on

I have flies accumulate in my upper story that has a lot of windows. The house is shut down for the winter and when I return and find dead flies all over the floor, it is pretty disgusting. They are called Cluster Flies. Hopefully this trap will do the trick.

  • Doesn't work

    By on

Save your money. This doesn't work. Put together as instructions state but does not catch flies. I have even tried a different location to no avail. Save your time and money. I was really looking forward to catching many flies in my barn after reading the reviews before purchasing. I am very disappointed! Has been in barn around a week and only caught 2 flies. Such a waste!

  • Not happy with this

I saw the other positive reviews and that's why I purchased it in the first place...however, mine came damaged and cracked and not working. Not worth returning but very disappointed. Not willing to try again. Hope to find something else soon.

  • Farnam Trap N Toss Fly Trap

    By on

We decided to give this product a try. We love it! We bought several and they are trapping flies like crazy. We have had them up a week or more in hot weather. No odor, except for a small amount if you are right next to them. My husband lowered 2 of them, as we noticed they were not capturing as many flies as the ones lower to the ground. We both are excited and impressed by how well these work, plus we can be in our yard and not even smell them. We highly recommend these traps!
