Can be hung or placed on the ground and is perfect for pond spaces or any other areas where flies congregate.
Bait and use trap outdoors. Remove attractant assembly from inside of trap cone. While holding trap upside down, tear open outside attractant packet. Drop water-soluble attractant pouch into trap. Handle with dry hands or use gloves. Do not open the inside pouch, it will dissolve in water. Add 16 fluid ounces of clean water up to fill line to activate attractant. Agitate lightly to disperse attractant. Slowly turn trap right side up, and hang or set on a flat surface outside in a sunlit area of high fly concentration when flies are active and where odors will not be a problem. For best results, place trap within four feet of the ground. In hot weather (above 90° F), place trap in shade for better results, in cooler weather, place trap in full sun. If placed on ground, be sure that at least ¼ inch of space is available between the trap body and ground so flies can enter. Replace trap when full of flies, or when trap contents dry out. Wash hands with soap and water after handling
So easy to use. Cut open the plastic envelope. Drop the internal packet into the bottom opening of the cone. Do not open the packet, it dissolves in water. Add water to fill line. The packet will break apart when water is added. Turn upside down slowly and place it away from populated areas. I placed one on the edge of our pasture to draw the flies away from our barn. I had a dead fly within 15 minutes of placing the first of three traps. I ordered on a Friday and it was here on Sunday. Super fast shipping even while we are in the middle of the COVID19 pandemic. Happy camper here. Love Chewy for it's great service and effective products!
Didn't catch anything

Smells pretty bad so I thought it would be a winner, I have lots of flies around my chicken feed. The first one I bought came cracked and that smelly stuff got all over me- it was disgusting. Chewy quickly sent a replacement, but no luck catching the flies. They were still all over my chicken feed area rather than in this trap! Ah well, was worth a shot! I liked the idea of it.

I was concerned about the mixed reviews, but for $5 I risked it. This little contraption began working immediately! The picture is after about 48 hours. I hung it up on a garden flag holder. Just be forewarned that the mix you put in it stinks to high heaven. I actually accused my dog of rolling in poop because he was near me when I opened it. Don’t get it on your hands. :)
really zero stars

i had previously used a different brand and it caught a zillion flies but smelled dreadful. I was happy to find these which advertised no smell and had good reviews. I followed the instructions and hung it near my compost, away from my house. Not quite smell free but bearable. But did not catch one fly. Not one.
Moved it to another spot, near garbage cans, still no flies caught. Hung it on a fence near the garage. Still no flies caught. Some ants, a moth or two. No flies...
Very easy to use and they work

I placed one of these outside of our pig manure pit. I didn’t even realize how many flies were actually in the area. Only maybe saw a handful at a time but within 3 days the trap was completely full. So ordered 5 more for my other fly problem areas.
trap n toss not worth it

Get a fly swatter instead. I was very disappointed if it’s efficacy. We have had it up for two weeks right in our problem zone. In the last half hour I have killed 15 flies, and not one has gone in the trap! It is hanging 3 feet from the ground - too high for pup to get but low enough for flies to detect. The must be something better.

The picture clearly shows "traps more flies with no fly trap odor" which is why I purchased these! They came today and that is NOT what the front of the package says and instead say "attracts and traps flies" with the list of chemicals below it. The instructions make it clear that this stuff stinks and needs to be used in "areas where odors are not an issue". Pretty stark difference from what is advertised in the picture!!!

Is it me? I bought 3. Didn't work! (it's been hanging for 10 days) I also purchased 2 RESCUE Outdoor disposable somewhere else and the next day they started to collect flies. This brand just went moldy and attracted one knat. I am going to try the second one. There is not much you can do wrong. So I can't see the second one working either.
Great Fly Trap!

I have used there fly traps outside my barn for several years now. They work really well. And you just replace it with a new trap when the old one gets full of flies. No need to handle sticky paper or flies. They are all trapped inside....dead! What's great for me is that Chewy sells them and at a very good price! I can order them and have them shipped with my auto ship items. It's a win, win!
does what it’s supposed to do!

We clean up after our two dogs twice a day and still having a fly problem this year. Ordered this from Chewy and it has definitely done its job! I can’t get over how many flies this thing has caught. It’s been just over a week!
