Can be hung or placed on the ground and is perfect for pond spaces or any other areas where flies congregate.
Bait and use trap outdoors. Remove attractant assembly from inside of trap cone. While holding trap upside down, tear open outside attractant packet. Drop water-soluble attractant pouch into trap. Handle with dry hands or use gloves. Do not open the inside pouch, it will dissolve in water. Add 16 fluid ounces of clean water up to fill line to activate attractant. Agitate lightly to disperse attractant. Slowly turn trap right side up, and hang or set on a flat surface outside in a sunlit area of high fly concentration when flies are active and where odors will not be a problem. For best results, place trap within four feet of the ground. In hot weather (above 90° F), place trap in shade for better results, in cooler weather, place trap in full sun. If placed on ground, be sure that at least ¼ inch of space is available between the trap body and ground so flies can enter. Replace trap when full of flies, or when trap contents dry out. Wash hands with soap and water after handling
I would recommend this item if you have a fly problem. I have a dog walk for a Great Dane and it is helping keep the area free of flies. I would recommend not placing traps near open doorways to keep flies out of your home. Great for open patio areas.
THIS FLY TRAP REALLY WORKS!!!!

I did not know about this product but had to do something about the flies that had congregated outside my back door patio area. The doggie door isn't completely air tight and flies would get into my kitchen area. I followed the instructions that came with the trapntoss fly eliminator and placed it outside on the patio and BOY!! Within a day or two I saw no flies in the patio area, AMAZING! The dry powder packet you place in the bell shaped container is VERY foul smelling but apparently that's what flies like as they take to it like honey. You don't smell anything once the water is poured in the container and placed upright. Works better than I had hoped for!

With three dogs regularly adorning our backyard with "surprises", we have a fly problem. This fly trap does an incredible job of trapping and killing the flies. We currently have a trap on our back patio, and there are at least a hundred dead flies. I didn't even hang it up as is recommended: I just set it in a relatively inconspicuous location, and the bait drew them in.
My only suggestion for improvement would be for them to develop a reusable version of the trap and the bait. It's a lot of plastic that must be thrown away when finished with it.
No good at all

Man this thang does not work it only have 1 or 2 flies in it after being out there for more than a week now!

I’ve used these for years, we have dogs, horses, lambs and chickens. I have 3 of these in operation from early spring to fall. Our fly population is nearly zero. I replace them about once a month, so about a dozen of them last me through Michigan’s fly season. Chewy’s price is the best!
This thing WORKS!

At first, I placed it by my dog run and the flies were more attracted to the 'dog messes' than this. But, I moved it a little farther out and now the flies just flock to it by the masses! It is FILLED with flies now. So gross!! But this thing works!

These will catch a lot of flies! I placed 3 around my yard to bring more comfort to my dogs. Within only a couple of days there were several hundred in the trap, and after a week or so a few thousand.
There are 2 negatives, but I don't know what could be done.
First, the odor is strong. Initially from the attractant and now adding in thousands of dead flies. You won't want to place it very near the house.
Second, cleaning amounts to emptying the trap and starting over with fresh attractant. Not really a problem, just something you should know.
Did not attract any flies, just ants

I used the bag fly traps in the past and they worked great, but stink! I tried these and only attracted ants, useless for flies. They also dried up within 2 weeks while I waited to see if any flies would ever go inside.

We decided to give this product a try. We love it! We bought several and they are trapping flies like crazy. We have had them up a week or more in hot weather. No odor, except for a small amount if you are right next to them.
My husband lowered 2 of them, as we noticed they were not capturing as many flies as the ones lower to the ground. We both are excited and impressed by how well these work, plus we can be in our yard and not even smell them. We highly recommend these traps!
Yes it does work

At first, I thought it wasn't working or working very well. Then after several days, more and more began to become trapped. The more that are trapped in it, the more that will be caught. After disposing it, the 2nd one I put out didn't take much time at all to accumulate a Lot of flies! I am ordering more.
