I absolutely love the Fat Cat line! I have 5 Fat Cat mats and my cats have loved them. I love this toy as it is very colorful and just so cute. My 11-month old Tortie girl, Princess Nyiah Joie, loves it too. The drawback is that she is a gnawer and loves to gnaw on string, so that is what she did. The first day she had chewed off 2 of the toys and I am fighting to save the other 2 by hiding the toy and just playing with her supervised, not leaving it hanging on the doorknob as I know she will be successful at chewing off the other 2 toys uggh! I've figured out a way to sew them back on to the black and white heavier rope and hopefully this will work. Otherwise it will have been a waste of money as she has no interest in batting around single toys although they are so cute! May be better for very young kittens who haven't figured out their teeth are deadly scapels LOL
I had some loose ones from my other cats' kittenhoods that the kitten would dig out of the toy box to play with. He loves these dangly ones too. He prefers actual interaction with me rather than it just hanging there though.
CAUTION! This door knob toy is a fun toy for cats, but use only when supervised and do not connect it above a door knob, even then it could be harmful. I made the mistake of connecting a similar one to a hook at the top of my door. I was awakened at night by my two Siamese cats that had run up the stairs to my bedroom, along with my male Siamese who was strangling to death. He has managed to break the cord away from the handle, but it was wrapped around his neck so tight he couldn’t breathe. I was able to get scissors to cut the cord and save his life, but if I wouldn’t have awakened in the middle of the night by some miracle my other cats knew he was in danger……my baby would be dead. What I think happened was that they would try to drag the cord/toy away from the connection and as they tugged, I think the cats tug and turn around to look back and continue tugging and turning around to look back and eventually it wraps around their neck each time they turn. It can be a very dangerous toy if not supervised and removed when not at home.
What a great toy. Very strong and brightly colored. Usually my 2 cats have a standoff with a new toy, but this time they could play with the same toy at the same time.
Chewy gifted us this toy and the cats loved it but our young cat (9 months old) managed to easily chew the hanging strings from the small toys and swallowed them. Now he has to go through a surgery as one of the strings got stuck in his intestines and caused an abstraction.
Great toy! My foster kittens love it! I love this gaping maw. Fun, durable, and cute!
Doesn't interest my cat at all. She'll smell he toys and walks away from it.
This is a great toy; wish it came in different colors because the lion face comes off more clown like than anything. Cats love it after a week of getting used to it. Pro tip, remove the toys and shake them in a bag of cat nip
Very cute, but not nearly as popular as I thought it would be. Also, even though it hasn't been played with a lot, the black and white cords look very beat up (lots of pulls where claws have made contact).
Within 5 minutes, my cat destroyed this by breaking off all of the toys
