    Great food

    By on Top 250 Contributor

This food is great. I am very happy with the ingredients in it. My cat goes Crazy when it is time to eat. Only thing I don't like is the smell, stinky lol.... It's probably the organ meat and blood ingredients. I guess between the smell and the taste that's why cat's love it. I want to try the other flavors. I would highly recommend it even though it is pricey.

    Kinda sorta

    By on

My extremely picky cat turns her nose up to most food. The first time I put this in her bowl, she sniffed it and walk away. But, I am an extremely stubborn cat owner and I didn’t give in. I cut back on all treats, and gave her some of this food the next day, she ate it right up! And, since that time, she looks forward to her bowl filled with this food. She doesn’t always lick the bowl clean, but she does eat it. I also give her a grain free dry food, her other bowl is always filled and she can graze as she likes.

    Latest batch seems different

    By on

Took me awhile to find a less expensive alternative to the other NZ brand with the same quality of ingredients. Was finally glad to find this option and my cats loved this formula. However, the last 2 boxes I ordered in February (both from the same batch) seem different. The color is a little darker and it seems less moist. My visual observations were confirmed when both our cats turned their noses up where before they gobbled it up. I called the manufacturer and they told me the formula hasn't changed but something definitely seems different. Going to try another order, hopefully from a different batch and fingers crossed the cats will eat it.

    They changed formula?

    By on

My cat used to love those can food, either Lamb or venison, and I have been buying those feline natural can food for my cat for at least a year. The can usually contains some water in it. It is water like, not gel like. However, when I purchase a new box of venison and chicken feast, it changed to gel like stuff in the can, and the smell also changed by a little bit. Although my cat eats it, but I don’t think this is the quality of food I want.

    Gelatinous Reason..

    By on

For Cheri: The ingredients contain Dried Kelp, which is seaweed and like gelatin, a thickening agent. Same really as carageenan or agar. I like this food and so does my cat. I try not to feed too much seafood, so am leery of the mussels but it seems okay and my cat likes. Not my fave, since it's uber expensive.

    Gelatinous??

    By on

The Lamb and King Salmon was packed with the New Zealand water. This one was completely gelatinous like most canned cat foods. I’m confused as to why since the description indicates there isn’t any??? My finicky cat doesn’t like it. The other two leave plenty on their plates. I only bought this one because the Lamb and King Salmon was out of stock. Never again though. So disappointed!!

    Not for Picky Cats

    By on

I’ve been trying to feed my cat a healthier alternative to Iams. She turned her nose up at this. I left it out for two days - changing it to fresh food a few times- she would sniff it and walk away and eat the dry food. She usually only eats wet. I’m donating the rest to my local animal shelter. A waste of a lot of money. Only switch to this food if your cat is willing to eat anything.

    all my cats love this!

All three of my cats love this food. The ingredients are great and my cats prefer this over ziwi peak's venison.

Do not feed your cat this

    By on

Our 3 year old cat has never been picky about canned food. He loved everything. We bought this for him because of the great ingredients and now he refuses to eat anything else. I mean absolutely will not go near anything else. Now we have to commit to the pricetag. Lesson learned: don’t buy the good stuff if you can’t commit!!

    Not a Major Hit

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

This looks like a top notch wet cat food. Grain free, lots of meat juice (not gravy), no fillers, etc. Alas, only one of my cats will eat it and then only when he's very hungry. Otherwise I'd give it 5*. Couldn't find it at any local store (even the boutique ones) in order to try a couple of cans 1st. But if possible, try before you commit to a case. Interestingly, all three cats love the Feline Natural freeze dried chicken. They're CATS, what can I tell you?
