  • Cost effective but not great for smells

    By on

I have used other pine litter previously and wanted to see if I could find a less expensive option. I could not find in the litters description if this was pellets or cobbles (this one is pellets). This brand as compared to the other I use does not help at all with smell and is not very scoopable as the pellets are too large to be sifted out effectively. I essentially scoped out the "presents" and a scoop full of litter with it. Also Ewok did not like this litter as much (texture maybe) as he almost always used the other box with his other pine litter. Not something I would buy again. I would recommend trying a very small bag first to see if it works for you.

  • Can't smell anything!

    By on

    I still have to mix it a bit with her clumping litter as she apparently doesn't like the feel of the pellets before they break down to powder. It has lasted for over three weeks without smelling. We are on vacation in an RV where for sure is a test of its effectiveness. It is great not having to smell her every time she does her business!! You do still have to keep the box cleaned (the poop for sure and mix the litter around to keep it dry) on a daily basis to keep ti sparkling fresh. Also, love the price between this and the clumping litter:}

  • Go Pine -- it is worth switching!

We used clay litters for a very long time, but I finally got fed up with the gray dust and cat paw prints on everything. We decided to try pine litter. One of my cats complained/squeaked about it for an entire day, but he finally gave up and went in the box. In a couple of days time both cats (8 and 9 years old) were completely adjusted to the new litter (no accidents) and we are now litter dust free! The FelinePine in particular does a good job of hiding odors and doesn't break down as quickly as a store brand we tried. • EXCELLENT LITTER!

This is the best cat litter. It is not dusty, absorbs urine smell and is all natural. No harmful chemicals, silica or clay to clog the sinuses of a cat. I use a large blue scooper from chewy and a large plastic container to scoop the waste. Then I throw it in a separate garbage pail I have for cat waste. I have 5 cats so this system works well. By using a large scooper you waste less litter and when they pee the pine expands so you can scoop it easily. Never had a problem keeping the litter box clean and no smell with 5 cat litter boxes. Save for my cats and my family as silica and clay can really damage your upper respiratory system. I have been using it for 3 years and as with any litter box This is the best cat litter. • Need pine litter for my asthmatic cat

    By on

Used to buy my store brand, which was a bit better, because the pellets were smaller (actual diameter was smaller, not just the length). However, my store started using a different supplier, and new litter was not satisfactory. So, started buying this, and I have no complaints, just wish pellets were smaller. My cats didn't notice the difference, apparently!

  • Best litter ever!!!!

Until last month, I had no idea that this product existed. This litter absorbs all of my cat's urine so...NO more nasty pee odor!, just the smell of fresh pine. And no more litter tracked all over the place! It's so easy to use...just scoop out poop. Costs less than conventional litter, in part, because you don't have to use as much...lasts longer. • an eco-friendly type cat litter

    By on

I love this product. I have made a two level litter box, six of them. The top box has a hardware screen bottom and holds the pellets. When the cats pee on the pellets and they goes to sawdust, the sawdust falls to the bottom box and keeps the top fresh longer. The sawdust goes out with the leaves and yard wast to the county composting center. The urine adds nitrogen which helps speed the composting.

  • Best for Multiple cats!

    By on

I started using Feline Pine years ago for my cats because my daughter recommended it. Over the years I have tried other litters, clumping, biodegradable, etc. I always come back to feline Pine. It lasts longer and once your cats are accustomed to the different type of texture they will love it too.

  • Great product

My 3 cats have always used traditional clumping litter and it always stunk. I switched them to this, not gradually mind you, and they took to it just fine. I have one un fixed male and even he was satisfied and hasn't marked out of the box since. Before, he would about once a week or so. The pellets themselves don't have much of an odor, faint new furniture or woodshop smell but the best thing is I cannot smell the kitty mess anymore! Before the ammonia smell over powered my house even with top brands. My cats actually bury their scat in this which is new, they never have before and there is a bit of a learning curve with scooping it out without taking a bunch of fresh pellets too. The pee areas just turn to sawdust and you can either mix it around or just dig that spot out as needed if your cats go in just one corner like mine do. I cannot emphasize enough the lack of cat odor! I have been a cat parent for 30 years and never have escaped the cat box odor no matter the litter or frequency of scooping until now. Great price point, No fake scents, and compostable. … more

  • its the house fave

this is so easy to use and dispose of. I had gotten overly sensitive to all other brands even if they claim there is no scent, I just couldn't tolerate the aroma. this one doesn't bother me at all, and the cats are fine with it. Economical and goes a long way.
