Works much better than expected!
By CityKittyMamma on Feb 21, 2021
I have three big boy cats that share a big box and have always used Tidy cat clay litter. I wanted to find something that tracked less onto my bed, and every other corner of the house. So I tried the breeze system, but the pads burned my sinuses with perfume and urine odor and lasted "litter"ally one day with my three cats. So nixed that but determined to have a clean house, tried feline pine instead. I was not 100% happy at first. My cats were mad at the pellets and it and was a little too piney. So I tried mixing the pine with my regular Tidy cat, non-clumping 50/50 and Perfecto! The heavy pellets keep them from tracking it so much and there is nearly zero smell combining it with tidy cat. A few pellets get out but there is not the constant spattering of clay on the floors daily. I just dump the whole box each week, no scooping. The smell is natural and like that it biodegrades, and is a little less heavy than with 100% clay. All pine on it's own it might be good for some but my cats are creatures of habit and really complained until mixing with the clay. I met them half way, now we are all happy. … more

A Diamond in the Rough?
By ThirstyKitty on Feb 21, 2021
As another reviewer stated, the jury is still out with this litter. I personally love everything about it. My girls, however, are somewhat less enthusiastic. I suspect it’s the size of the pellets that is “foreign” to them. I actually have 2 litter boxes side-by-side for them to use at-will and they seem to prefer the TidyCat clumping clay type over the pellets. The kitten (4 mos) actually loves to play in the clay for some reason and makes a game out of every trip to the box. She’s a goof ball!! I’ve seen her mom, Diamond, the 2-1/2 yr old get in the box with the pellets but I don’t think she went potty in that one. Of course Mocha just thinks it’s all a game. Okay, but jury still out...
By TwoCats on Feb 16, 2021
I have been using this litter in hopes it would help eliminate a few items: 1. Tracking litter out of the box...but I am still dealing with tracked litter only now it's not clay, it's this pine stuff. 2. Odor reduced...honestly my clay litter did better at this. 3. Better for the environment, which I can't argue it doesn't do that. My biggest issues? This litter is hard to clean/sift. With my current scoop I will end up throwing entire shovel fulls of fresh new pine litter out, I have to like fish the waste out to try to save the good. I haven't found a scoop for this sort of litter and I am not into wasting my litter...it's pricier and you get less bang for your buck vs. the clay I have been using this litter in hopes it would help eliminate a few items: 1. It also still has a bunch of dust when you clean it, because the pee from my cats turns it to saw dust that poofs into massive nasty clouds when cleaning...not a fan. My cats also still track just as much of this out as clay so I didn't get a win there. Mostly, I am let down. I guess the only plus is it's better for the planet. … more

Poor quality control—too much sawdust...
By Emma on Feb 17, 2021
It has at least 50% sawdust, when it’s supposed to be in pellet form. This is not good because sawdust particulate gets into the air when pouring it in or digging by my cat. Needless to say I’m very unhappy. I have bought other brands of pine cat litter and I know that this is a lot of sawdust. They need to advertise this as “pine sawdust” not pellets. My cats lungs don’t need this. I have included a photo and please note that I just opened this bag, it’s not the bottom of the bag, and no matter which direction I dig around, I feel and see a lot of sawdust.

Less effort in cleaning
By vngo12 on Feb 15, 2021
As a first time cat owner, a lot of people has been recommended between this litter and the arm & hammer. I wanted to try this out first because: 1. It is environment friendly 2. There is no dust for my cat to inhale in 3. It does quite a good job in covering up the smell 4. It is very easy to clean up. The pee will turn the litter into wood dust I recommend using this litter with a sifter litter box. I only have to scoop the poop out after my cat went potty, shake the litter box to sift out the dust, dump out the dust after 2-3 days, and replace the litter after 3-4 weeks. Only cons is my cat doesn't really cover her poop up after, however that isn't much of an issue for me. Best Feline Litter
By pine on Feb 6, 2021
I have four cats. My SO and I both have two jobs. With clay litter, it was always a disaster. I bought at least six or seven different types of litter, using three at a time in their boxes to rule them out, and I finally found what worked best. Feline Pine is my absolute favorite, especially for their urine. All of our cats will pee in the extra large box of Feline Pine and then use our other large box to go number two, which has Arm & Hammer’s corn litter in it. I would prefer to only use FP, but our cats love the softness of the corn litter for feces. The only downside that the Feline Pine Litter has is that it’s annoying to sift out unless you have a sifting pan. At the moment, I still do I have four cats. My SO and I both have two jobs. It's okay-ish.
By Kimmy on Feb 4, 2021
Feline Pine: At first, I really liked this litter. I mean, it is better than clump and seal. I actually have a jug of clump and seal to use whenever we run out of pine litter and I absolutely hate it. The problem with this litter is that my babies made such a big mess. Frisco: I didn't care for this litter so much. I just wanted to try something new but it mostly powder, not enough pellets. Simply Pine: I love this litter so far. I have been depressed lately so I haven't scooped the litter box in a few days. There was no odor, and there was no mess. I think the litter was too heavy to track all over the place. The pellets were large and they do what they're supposed to do. I'm going to Feline Pine: At first, I really liked this litter. I mean, it is better than clump and seal. 10/10 recommend for rabbits
By Kallie on Feb 21, 2021
I have a rabbit (willow) who has the worse smelling urine ever. We have tried odor control everything. I was at my wits end. I am SUPER sensitive to chemicals and odors. This stuff works! I put about 1-2in in the bottom of her pan and I don’t smell anything: we usually empty the pan and wash it once a week. Bonus points, she doesn’t eat this like she did the paper pellets.

Great value, great stuff
By Bree on Feb 6, 2021
I love this litter. I have a cat with mitten paws and this is one of the few litters that he doesn't track everywhere (most get stuck between his toes). It's not the best at odor control, which is why I gave it 4/5, but I use baking soda on top to help with odor absorption. Also, if you scoop it and clean it properly then you really shouldn't have a problem. There is "dust" when it's time to clean it out fully since the pine disintegrates to sawdust which is how you know how to clean it. But it's a great value, a great product, and I've been using it for years.

Feline Pine
By Marcella on Feb 22, 2021
We are trying to use this litter without the special sifting litter box so cleaning the box is more difficult. Decided it was inexpensive enough to toss all contents and reload with fresh pellets. It did solve the tracking problem which was our main concern. Only a few pellets make it aways from the box. And we like that it is made from a renewable resource and biodegrades.
