    Special Supplement

By LanaDune on Oct 17, 2020

We use the Feliway wipes as a special supplement to wipe down surfaces, especially corners, that the cats will contact or be close to on our motorhome. We have 3 unrelated cats, so at home and traveling, we use the multicat formula in diffusers to smooth over differences among and between cats. We have 3 unrelated cats, so at home and traveling, we use the multicat formula in diffusers to smooth over differences among and between cats. Travel is a bit stressful for all 3 cats, so an extra layer of calming pheromones seems to help, along with the gradual process of acclimating the cats to the motorhome by feeding them there and spending a few nights all together in the driveway. Our youngest cat is 3 years, and it was heartwarming to see her flop and writhe in ecstasy on the floor! Everyone seems more comfortable with each trip. Four out of 5 stars because the wipes are small, expensive, and come in only a small quantity, manufacturer issues that Chewy can't control. … more

Make sure you test first - our cat hated it

By Emmett on Oct 3, 2020

Bought these to help ease the stress of vet’s visits and traveling. Highly suggest testing this out first on an item that isn’t the cat’s carrier or fav place. We thought that rubbing this on the top level of her cat tree would be a good idea bc she’s associate the “calm” with her fav cat tree but we Bought these to help ease the stress of vet’s visits and traveling. We thought that rubbing this on the top level of her cat tree would be a good idea bc she’s associate the “calm” with her fav cat tree but we were wrong. She now (even two months later) completely avoids her cat tree and wants nothing to do with it. It’s as if another “cat” has marked that item with their scent and she now hates her cat tree. So glad we tested this out bc it would have been torture for her to be confined to her carrier with the smell of this wiped on it. She already doesn’t care for the carrier (bc of where it takes her) and would have been even more distressed. … more

Worth a shot, but didn't work

My cat has feline hyperesthesia, and has these fits where he attacks himself. Was hoping these would work for that, but it's not like it was marketed towards hyperesthesia

Definitely not helpful for one but maybe for another

My 14 y.o. cat HATES car trips. I had hoped wiping his carrier with one of these would help during our last vet trip. It did NOT. Using a wipe on a bed cover, though, may have helped my shy 8 y.o. be more adventurous and vocal.

    Cats may not calm

    By on

My two cats behaved quite individually when I was bringing them to the vet. I rubbed Feliway on the inside of their carriers and one cat calmed very well. The other one, who became hissy and frantic when he realized a trip was going to happen, could not even be examined at the vet's office. Not blaming Feliway, just commenting that it shouldn't be relied on.

Not sure it helped our cats.

We have 2 rescue cats and going to the vets is a nightmare. We were able to quickly get them in their cages and they both cried. One quieted down in car but the other kept meowing for the 15 minute ride. Every cat is different so it’s worth the try.

    Not so much

After reading reviews elsewhere, this product seemed like a miracle. I had to drive my 2 cats 1 hour 15 minutes away to our new home. Usually they howl like banshees in the car. Followed instructions & wiped down carriers. They reacted as they always did when placed inside: crying and trying to get out. They were vocal in the car (the younger cat more so). While they were not howling, they did continue to vocalize for an hour, and the crying did taper off towards the end (when we were almost there). So it may have reduced their anxiety somewhat, but I cannot picture taking them on a flight and dealing with the chaos of an airport. My advice would be to do a trial run with your animals; in highly After reading reviews elsewhere, this product seemed like a miracle. I had to drive my 2 cats 1 hour 15 minutes away to our new home. Unsure about product

    By on

The carrier is too heavy to carry so I place it on a luggage cart. Since the vet is only a block away I walk there and he has screamed and howled all the way -- if I could hold him close to me my voice would soothe him. I used Feliway wipes and he still carried on but didn't scream as he has in the past so I think it may have helped a little. I really can't tell but I do suggest that using it is worth a try.
