The product is easy to use, and is odorless to humans as described. So far I have not noticed any improvement in my cat's behavior, however. I will continue to use it and hope it will work. I have 5 cats, all indoors, the 8 month old kitten is overgrooming and making bald patches on his belly. My vet told me it's stress related and reccommended this product.
I spray this on a large, old pillow case and place it over Miss Kitty's carrier for a brief while when traveling to see family. She seems more calm when I do this (I also have her carrier propped up on a suitcase so she can see out the windshield, and a rigged way to secure the carrier with a seat belt). But when I take her to the vet to get her claws clipped, they use this and it does not seem to work. I am present for the clippings and sometimes I assist in holding her. I can tell that the employees at my vet's office do the clipping properly, so she just really hates the process! This doesn't seem to do much for that scenario. I would say this is good if your cat isn't super stress and is only slightly anxious. I would probably buy it again just in case it does help some.
My cat is extremely hard to catch and put him in the carrier. I sprayed this on my clothing and in the pet taxi. I still had to chase him around and flush him from under the bed with the broom, however, once I had him in my arms he relaxed and did not wiggle and try to get away. When I took him to the pet taxi, he went into it without his normal trying to get away by spreading all 4 legs. I am SO glad I got this product!!
My cat is 18 with high blood pressure so I have to bring her to vet regularly for blood pressure readings every vet I go to has recommended feliway spray for carrier towel in carrier me and so far she has good stable blood pressure readings
This stuff works great. The last time I had to put my cat in a car was a nightmare. He cried and acted depressed for three days after. I decided on our recent move that I would try it and see if it helped. He never cried or acted stressed on the five hour drive. It even helped him adjust to the new home. I highly recommend.
My cats hate to travel. I sprayed Feliway on towels in each crate. I would not say my cats were happy about traveling but they did not complain as much this time.
My cats get antsy and take it out on each other while I'm getting their food ready. If I spritz a little of this over their heads, it's like they forget why they were mad at each other.
This did help my kitten with peeing outside the box and did calm her for her trip to vet when I sprayed her carrier.
The cat is ok with the scent tho I am not convinced that it has made a big difference. Worth a try.
My vet recommended this for when we travel or visit the vet. I haven't seen huge results with this but it does seem to keep them calmer. It does not make a drastic difference though. We use these for short trips to the vet, but for flights or road trips I wouldn't use this.
