Description

If your cat scratches your furniture, walls or bedposts, she's probably using her sharp claws to tell the world, "this is mine!" As naturally territorial animals, cats need to claim their prized goodies for themselves—but, with Feliscratch Scratching Attractant by Feliway, you can help encourage your cat to keep her paws off your stuff. When your kitty digs her nails into things, she leaves more than just claw marks behind; she leaves "territory messages" for other cats, which tell them to buzz off. Feliscratch uses these territorial messages to encourage your cat to scratch where you want her to, like on her scratching post or cat tree. It's a simple solution to your damaged furniture, but your cat feels like she's ruling the roost. It's a win-win!

Key Benefits
  • Clinically tested Feliscratch can help redirect cats' unwanted scratching around the house by encouraging them to use scratching posts or trees instead.
  • Utilizes natural feline "territorial" hormones to attract cats to the objects you want them to scratch instead of your belongings.
  • Discourages newly adopted kittens from scratching the furniture and walls due to the sudden change in environment.
  • Encourages cats to use a new or previously ignored scratching post in the home.
  • During times of stress, it may also help to discourage destructive scratching caused by anxiety.

    messy application, long process

    By on

I misread this and thought it was a spray so my bad but it was for my mom who has a new cat who just won’t use scratchers and we’ve tried all different kinds and she still prefers the couch. But since it was there we thought we’d try it out and it’s a messy, long process. This is a month system where the first 7 days you put the liquid on everyday then the next week nothing and then the next 2 weeks vary with how much you put. So I tried it out and it has blue dye in it so I did this in the garage. The directions say you want to make 3 lines with it so it mimics the paw scratch. The liquid dye smells awful and it’s super runny and we were putting it on a upright scratch post so even though the I misread this and thought it was a spray so my bad but it was for my mom who has a new cat who just won’t use scratchers and we’ve tried all different kinds and she still prefers the couch. It took about an hour to dry and the dye got all over the post so it didn’t mimic a paw scratch. Anyway my mom did this for the next couple days but the process was sooo messy and like I said the scent was awful so after the 2nd week she stopped. I am just going to get the diffusers because those actually worked with my cats n it’s easier than having to apply blue dye everyday. I’m surprised anyone would go through the hassle of this product. Very disappointed. … more

    Love this product

I am firm believer in Adaptil and Feliway products, in my experience they do work. When we moved in to the new place with our senior (12 year old) but active cat, who wanted to scratch new couch and mark his presence. The product worked right away and the scratching post was the favorite of our cat once again. Since then we lost that cat and we have the new kitty, we hope the product will work as well for him.

    Messy-Don’t buy it!

    By on

I’m trying to train my new addition to use the scratch box and not the furniture. I purchased this product along with Sticky Paws Furniture strips for positive and negative reinforcement. This product is blue and stains whatever you put it on. I put it on the new cat tree I just bought and and it was so pretty; now it is stained with blue runs. The pkg. info DOES advise it will stain. I was trying to just keep it on the rope and scratching parts of the cat tree but it is runny. The cats did roll on the scratch boxes for a day or two- but that was it. I will not purchase again and do not recommend it.

Worked great the first 2 days

I have three, 5 month old kittens and I tried this on a nice brand new 42” tall sisal scratching post. The product is blue for some reason and the directions indicate it should be applied in rows to mimic cat scratch marks. I followed the instructions and only 1 of the 3 kitties uses the post to scratch, the other 2 still use the chair. :( I have decided to try the soft nail tips on the kitties claws. My vet with apply them if I am not able to! Hoping for the best.

    No Luck with Feliscratch

    By on

Since I had some luck with Multi Cat I was really hoping this might guide my felines away from the furniture and to their many unused scratching posts. No such luck here. All of my kitties - 2 cats & 2 kittens - were indifferent to Feliscratch. I went through 2 packages without any interest whatsoever.

    Overcomes Adult Tortitude

    By on

Our household is a firm believer in Feliway products and Feliscratch is not an exception. The easy to use individual squeeze packets of formula are dark blue, but haven't caused significant discoloration on cardboard scratchers or jute posts. When catnip isn't enough to convince our 3 y/o torties to use a new scratcher, these do the trick in a matter of minutes! Keeping up the application schedule only reinforces correct scratching behavior.

    Feliscratch Scratching Attractant for Cat

    By on

A total dud (and waste of money). After using all the product as instructed, my 2 showed absoutely no interested in the Vesper Cat Tree Scratching Post with Condo. Not the sisal. Not the cushions. Went into the cube out of curiosity (and to retreive a toy). Very disappointed.

    So far so good...

    By on

Trying to get my new-er cats to stop scratching EVERYTHING! They love this stuff. I apply it to their scratching posts/boards and beds and they immediately come running and start rolling all over it. So, I know they like it, the bigger test will be if they stop scratching over time. Just too soon for 5 stars but will deserve 5 stars if the scratching stops.

Where has this been all my life?!?

One of my cats was destroying my curtains. I was desperate, but skeptical. This really works! I used this last October and haven’t had to repeat the treatment. Occasionally I freshen the post with catnip, but that’s it. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FOR THE FULL MONTH!!!!! Make sure to use all 9 of the pipettes (once a day for the first week, 1 in the 3rd week and 1 in the 4th) and follow the instructions. It has food coloring and will stain. So if you don’t want a stained scratching post (why would you care about that though? These posts are meant to be destroyed by cats) then don’t use this. If your cat does not respond to catnip also do not use. The catnip is what brings them close enough to detect One of my cats was destroying my curtains. I was desperate, but skeptical. This product works!

My cat would only use her old scratching post, which was very used. She wouldn't look at the new scratching posts I purchased. My vet recommended this product. I followed the directions and this product really works. Now I can throw away the old one!
