Feliway MultiCat Refill

I first purchased this when I got a new kitten. My other two cats were NOT happy with this "invader" in their house. Though it's not uncommon to have a transition period, it was pretty bad at first. The plug in, time, and some patience proofed successful. However, my second reason to try this product was because my 4 year old male has extreme anxiety. His skittishness was so bad, I couldn't wear shoes in the house without him running for cover. I've been using it 4 months now and he's like a different cat. Doesn't run when the front door opens, sleeps on the couch next to me, lets me walk by him without running, comes up to me for love and attention without coaxing. Before trying feliway I was a disbeliever. I didn't think a plug in humans didn't notice would affect our cats at all. Most likely junk science, but now... We love feliway, using the original we saw a huge difference in our anxious cat. We also saw our two very territorial and not friendly cats bond for the first time ever. Feeling encouraged we got the multicat, hoping it would have the same or a better affect. It seemed to do... Nothing. It was as if it wasn't even there. I'm so glad I didn't try this one first, it would have continued my disbelief. And I would have never seen our beasts be loving together. Back to the original! I have used feliway intermittently for years and decided to try the multi cat version when we were having some issues with skirmishes. I got the multi cat version because, well, multiple cats. I plugged it in a large bedroom and returned in about 30 minutes and the room was imbued with the highly-unpleasant and worrisome smell of burning plastic. The diffuser I was using had been used many times, so I thought maybe that was the problem and changed to a diffuser I had only used once. Same result. Now I don’t know if the multi cat product is what smells bad or what the problem is but I don’t plan to try it again. I will try the original version again to see what happens. I use two of these in my apartment and have used them for 3 months since we added a kitten to our household with one resident cat. I noticed that when this ran out, they got a little too crazy with eachother so I refilled it and their behaviour was better. I anticipate using these for a few more months until they are totally acclimated to eachother and then will get rid of them but for this purpose they work.

I used this diffuser in the room where I took in a relative’s cats and the cats were not adjusting well They improved in attitude in a few days. Then I started putting pieces of the Solaquin chews in their mouths to see if they could benefit. I bought solaquin from chewy also. Both cats are now allowing a few friends to pet them. Huge improvement. How nice to see them enjoying life again

We just moved to a smaller house (900 sq ft). Having 2 younger cat of our own then my mother-in-law's older cat came to live with us. Things got interesting with them not getting along. A family member gave me a Feliway MultiCat starting kit and it seemed quickly that it got better. So I purchased a second one and that seemed even better. Now I have two in areas popular with the cats and buy refills every two month to keep the peace.

It took a few months but I have noticed less tension among my cats. I plugged the diffusers in near beds in rooms the cats hang out in. My major issue is these are so expensive and they don’t last anywhere near four weeks. You also have to make sure the refill unit is screwed into the diffuser as tight as possible or it will leak. I’ll keep buying these because they do work on my cats but I wish they were less expensive or at least lasted longer.

We tried this based on recommendations from our vet and a pet behaviorist. We had 2 young cats who were besties for a year and then suddenly one day one attacked the other hardcore. We separated them, used the plugins for a month, and tried to reintroduce with the same result, one wanting to seemingly kill the other. Most of the reviews that found this helpful seem to have used it when introducing new cats. So that may be why it didn't work for us. It was definitely worth trying because we'd do anything to get our fur babies to coexist peacefully again. But sadly, didn't work for us.

I started using this plug in product almost 2 months ago. I was pretty skeptical about this working the way it claims it could. I had some bad behaviors between my 3 cats, with the worst one being a real bite of another's back requiring stitches. Along with some good pet CBD oil, this Feliway does calm them down. You have to keep replacing the containers every 30 days, but for now, I am sticking with it, because I would never want to start making choices between my babies.

I have 5 cats, a mother, her son from a first litter, and a son and 2 sisters from her last litter. They're all fixed, but as soon as the Feliway diffuser runs out, the siblings start berserking, hissing at each other, and running around like insane cats. New refill is coming Saturday, but I'm going to add another one to our autoship so we don't run out! There must be peace, and for that, we rely on Feliway, for sure!
