Please do better
My last order consisted of 4 packages of Temptations cat treats and a 38 lbs box of Arm & Hammer Slide cat litter. The order was shipped in 1 box and of course, all the cat treats packaging was crushed by the box of cat litter. I had to transfer all the treats to ziplock bags to prevent spoilage. I usually try to separate my orders for cat litter and cat food because of your penchant for shipping my whole order in 1 box. It’s very inconvenient for me to call and complain about crushed cat treats, dry cat kibble and dented canned cat food. Maybe I need to go back to physically purchasing my cat supplies at a local pet store. Only the Feliway Calming Diffuser arrived intact because it arrived in separate shipment. Overall, so disappointed with this order.
I think it would've burned my house down
I had it the unit plugged into a regular outlet in the living room for about day. I was at work and my wife, who normally would was home packing for a trip. She called me up to tell me that she smelt something funky in the living room, a burnt smell. I told her the only thing new in there was the diffuser. Sure enough, that was it. She immediately unplugged it and put it in the kitchen. When I got home and smelled it, it still smelled burnt. We've used different diffusers in the past and never noticed them. I'm not sure if it's supposed to smell like that or what but I'm not going to burn my house down cause my cat can't get along with others.
Only one argument since I installed it
Dot has personal space issues, which her sister Dash loves to push. Dot's usual response starts with a "bug off" glare, escalating through growling to reading Dash the riot act to a physical fight as Dash continues to push the boundary. This would normally happen several times a week. Since I installed the Feliway Optimum, it's happened once, and I was able to get Dash to back off before Dot got beyond growling. I call that a win.
Damaged box
The box was badly crushed in shipping. The bottle of liquid is ok but I'm nervous to use the diffuser now and will likely throw it out - if it was damaged it might be a fire risk. This happened because all of my items, heavy and very light, were shipped in one huge box - the heavier items shifted and crushed the lighter ones.
No 30 days about it
My male cat was urinating throughout the house. In my frantic attempt to avoid a $300 vet visit for kidney analysis I purchased this along with one refill. I also ordered a new cat litter box with new kind of litter and moved it in a completely new location. The urinating has stopped thank goodness, he uses his new litter box faithfully. I cant be certain if it’s the feliway, the box or combination of the two. I will use the refill on the feliway I have on hand but doubt I will invest in anymore as the one that I used only lasted 19 days! For the cost of these, I expected at least the 30 days as advertised maybe a day or two more. I honestly hope the issue was just the litter, box and relocation
wasn't expecting much, but wow!
I literally just got this 2 hours ago and plugged it in . my 2 cats never eat near one another or tolerate eachother in the same space for long. my female is sort of feral and 11 years old, my male is a few months old now. My girl hisses and growls at my boy anytime hes near her. i plugged this in as soon as i assembled it and they are eating next to each other and no hostility whatsoever. so far i'm impressed. may need to get another one for other areas in the house
very helpful during construction project
Wish i had gotten it earlier when we first started our renovation. It has definitely made a difference for our one very anxious kitty. The pair also seem to get into tussles less often than they used to.
Bad Kitties
Don't know if it works yet. No difference in my cat spraying. Don't think the two of them are getting into arguments as bad tho. Hopefully after I have the Feliways longer they will settle my cats more.
Made the situation worse
My cats were all food aggressive and we were hoping this calmed them down. Instead, after three days my 22 pound Maine Coon attacked my frail 15 year old 12 pound cat and nearly killed him. Once we threw it out things calmed down.
Doesn’t work like the original
This definitely did not work as well as the original Feliway. I noticed my cat was more stressed than usual, realized that I’d switched to this new Feliway a few days before his stress ramped up, and switched back to the original. A few days after that he was back to his usual.
