I have 2 Guinea pigs and this cage is amazing and so spacious. The set up does take a little bit but we are beyond happy with this cage!!! You also have the option to make the cage smaller if you would like or slip in the extra piece if needed for guineas to get a short break with seperation. If you are debating I would say just order it!!!
It was quite flimsy I love the water bottles 7 out of ten would recommend if have 3 gin pigs
Love this cage for my 2 guinea pigs! Lots of room, large door for access to the cage to clean or get my girls out. I have a smaller version of this cage, so assembly was very similar and not that difficult. I would definitely recommend buying this cage.
Though it is nice and roomy, that’s the only good part about this cage. The pieces don’t fit together properly (held together with duct tape and zip ties, as it seems several other customers have had to do) and the “door” is a joke. Cleaning out the cage is impossible and my rabbit gets out of it all the time. Also, don’t bother with the water bottles it comes with, they’re trash. For what I paid for this cage, I expected a bit more. Very disappointed and I would recommend you save your money and buy something else.
We purchased this cage for our abused rescue L. Head 4+ yrs ago. Patience & few tries hubby assembled it NP. She chewed on the plastic tryn to get out. My only issue with this cage, the plastic should be more sturdy.
Putting together the cage is a little confusing because the instructions aren’t too clear on what to do. However, it did only take me about an hour to figure it out and put it together. Was it a frustrating hour? Heck yea! But it got done. The main negatives for me are- 1. The door parts of the fence don’t support the roof properly. And they are kinda crooked. 2. The ramp to get to the food was too steep for my Guinea pig so had to make a wooden ramp myself. The positives- 1. Pretty nice size for my Guinea pig. Also before you get mad about me only having one: my Guinea pig has a genetic problem and other Guinea pigs would bully her and steal her food. Vet said she should be kept alone. Somehow she loves my dog and the two of them cuddle and play. So she’s fine!! 2. It’s nice having two water bottles but the only place she can actually reach them, is if you attach it on the second story area where the food bowl is. Other comments said the water bottle wasn’t being supported and too heavy but it’s because the bottle needs to be outside of the cage with the tip inside through the fence. Then it works fine. After so much research I bought this cage and I’m happy with it. Not too expensive and works well.
A few people mentioned this was difficult to assemble -- it isn't super simple, but I did manage it ... look about ninety minutes, with a couple of false starts. At first I was positive I was missing a piece, but it was a false alarm (thanks, Chewy Customer Assistance, for your patience!). My cavies are now in their new home, and there are about ten reasons I like this much better than my old cage -- it's roomier, I love the extra section on the end (pigs use it like a litterbox), I like the food stand, for a few. It's easy to clean; pigs are accessible; a clear win. Just two criticisms - I don't love the cage doors. I ended up clipping them to make sure they stayed in place, although maybe I'm paranoid - I do have a cat. Also sort of wish the ramp to the platform were hinged. It'd make it easier to move the platform around for cleaning. Other than that - love it!
Bought this for a Guinea Pig. The only thing I wish is the step wall was a tad longer so it could be at an angle. I have to pile the bedding up on that side for him to get up to his food. So easy to get the top off and clean! He has so much room!
Though this cage is big and roomy, it was a pain to try to figure out. The directions are drawings with no words, the numbers don't make sense and just overall annoying. We couldn't get the clips on to hold the top wired cage together. So used zip ties. Sadly, for what we paid I'm not happy. Unfortunately I had to keep it as we have 2 bunnies who needed a bigger house. We are making it work but wouldn't recommend to anyone.
It is XXL, which would fit 2 large rabbits with room to hop around. I purchased it for our local SPCA, since I saw they had huge rabbits in cages that they couldn't do anything but turn around. When delivered, I took it to the shelter. I went to visit a few weeks later and it still was not put together but had it all lying out on the floor. They said they didn't have time and it was difficult to put together. I visited in a few more weeks and it had not been assembled, so I said I would take it home and try to assemble...not my strong point. I was overwhelmed when I looked at the instructions, which seemed minimal for me, and all the clips. I don't know if I will be able to figure it out, I hope so since it wasn't cheap even though I purchased it on sale. It has been over 2 months and the bunnies have not been able to utilize it. Next time I will look for a foldable cage basically assembled in the box...if they exist.
