Designed specifically for hamsters, this modular cage can be attached to other rodent habitats through the special connection caps. It features a varnished wire net structure on top and plastic base, which is great to create a spacious area perfect for eating and relaxing. This cage is way too small. A hamster needs at least 360 square inches of floor space, a mouse also needs 360 inches. A rat needs a way bigger cage than this. And gerbils need lots of bedding to tunnel in, which this cage does not provide. Make a bin cage, it's cheaper and better. You can make this for about 10-30 dollars. This cage is almost $60. Get something better and cheaper than this pink piece of junk.
