We’ll-made and light weight
We’ll-made and thought out. Complicated assembly but once put together, easy to knock down for transport or storage. Much lighter than conventional wire crates, so much easier to move (and the built-in rollers help, too). Biggest drawback in my opinion is that interior dimensions are slightly different from those of standard crates. This means that most pads and cot beds don’t fit exactly.
It is Superior
There are many thing to like about this dog crate. It has a solid bottom with drains from the center to a kind of trench around the perimeter to catch any accidents. It folds flat for transport and the doors are superior in function to others. A word of caution is that the pictorial instructions are not very descriptive on which is the inside and outside of the cage side and top. It is important to figure that out when you assemble the crate.
Decent quality, but...
I just received this crate this afternoon and immediately undertook the task of putting it together. It seems like it's good quality and heavy duty. However... I've built everything from Ethan Allen furniture to travel trailers in my lifetime, and I consider myself very handy, but the instructions for this crate are the most horrible I've ever come across. There is very little detail; just pages of pictures with no real instructions. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the assembly instructions.
Good looking crate
This is a really nice looking crate! I wanted a wire crate for the better ventilation. I like that this looks more modern than standard wire crates with the gray plastic borders. The material is high quality and it provides flexibility with a front & side door and a divider to adjust the space for my growing puppy. The only reason I didn't rate it a 5 is because it took me a long time to set it up. The picture instructions were pretty straight forward and there were no tools required, but some of the panel connectors were difficult to pop in place. And once locked in, it's so secure, it was difficult to undo if I accidentally installed something upside down. That was frustrating to have to disconnect the stiff connectors & redo. For those that are handy (I'm not) & pay better attention to the instructions, you may not have this issue. Also, ideally, they would add a handle at the top to make it easier to carry from room to room. But for the quality and aesthetics, this is a great option that won't be an eye sore in my living room and it will give my puppy a nice space of his own.
