Ferplast Two-Story Tower Ferret Cage

I have to agree with most of the comments about the assembly. Assembly instructions are garbage. It isn't helpful whatsoever. BUT the cage is AMAZING. I love it, my son loves it and so do his ferrets. However I would recommend using big zip ties to keep the tubes in place against the cage wall because the chain hooks dont keep them very sturdy. I highly recommend this cage. It's roomy af and the ferrets love it

This has to be one of the worst cages to assemble. The manual they give you is only pictures, no words, and provides incredibly limited steps that are unclear. They give you a link to a video that is dead or taken off their main page. The assembly took 5 HOURS of my time, and half of the pieces weren't even shaped right and had to be HAMMERED in, rather than just sliding in like they should. There were several pieces that came with the cage that weren't in the picture instructions so we couldn't find a use for them. Aside from that, there were cage pieces mixed in bags with accessories or vice versa, leading to even more confusion since NOTHING was organized. The cage is great , bigger than I expected but the tunnel that connects the top and bottom keeps popping out and falling with my ferrets in it sometimes. So I'm curious if there's anyway you can help me fix this issue.

Great product! There's tons of room for me to run around and jump and play. There's even room for a friend to stay with me! I love running up the tubes, and then swirling down them. Sometimes I think I can turn around in them, but I'm afraid I'll get stuck if I do that. It's a good thing the tubes can come apart if that happens. The only problem is that my mom says the directions to my new house were lacking enough explanation, so it took a little while to put together.

The pan depth is excellent so it's easy to clean, and the ramps, tubes, and platforms are sturdy. The cage is huge, I can sit in it if I want to, so my girls actually have room to play in it, although they are only in the cage at night. The doors don't rely on cheap hinges so they won't break. There are two things I wish I knew about it, though. Firstly, as many reviews of this cage will tell you, this takes a LONG time to set up. With a partner, the cage took an entire day to assemble. Okay, so this certainly has potential to be an awesome cage. Makes cleaning a lot easier and lots of space for ferrets to play. So you get the package and the instructions are not the greatest, not too big of a deal. The pictures generally tell you enough for most of it if you are even halfway decent in putting things together. If not, then you can use the “Easy Install” link provided that takes you to their company/store page but no clue where the video it to show you how “easy” it is. The deep dish top and bottom parts were awesome fun getting apart. It is like a bucket challenge getting two 5 gallon buckets apart, but they do come apart with effort. Then you start to assemble, starting with the top. I guess it is a good place to start. Let your confidence build up enough to be crushed with despair later. The top goes together with such ease and looks real nice, gets you in the mindset that this will be a breeze. Then you get to the bottom section. You would think the bottom to be similar to the top and in theory it is put together in the same general manner. The problem is the bottom plastic corner pieces where you slide the metal part through is nothing like the top. They are SUPER tight and is no slipping through at all. After taking several chunks of skin off my hands trying to get it in there I decided to use a mallet to tap it down. This seemed to work the best, but in the LAST piece abortion broke off just as it was about in place, then another broke off. Then it was not useable. So,this isn’t Chewy’s fault but I wish they had parts or could do things a little easier. I would have to take everything back down and replace the whole thing to try again instead of getting that one piece and the company is in Italy with no number to call, so that isn’t happening. Instead of starting all over I am ordering a second one and returning one with the broken pieces as this seems the better idea (was one, but taking apart broke several more, so be wary of that). So, my take away from this? They should have used the same corners on the bottom as they did on the top, would have been SO much easier. The other part is you probably will not want to break it down to store or whatever if you do not use anymore as it will probably snap. Otherwise, it is pretty awesome, probably an overkill for only 2 ferrets but whatever. If you get hanging toys and such for in there, you might need chains or something since it can be a challenge to find good spots for them to hang. Once you actually get the cage set up it is really nice; however I wish the instructions would have been a little clearer. If you're good at following Lego diagrams its no problem, but I did struggle. Also the videos that they referenced in the instructions aren't available either.

I got this and half of the cage was so easy to pit together but then I got to the top and it was completely different parts and hard to put together so I gave up and can only use the bottom half for my ferrets. Very annoying and honestly mad I spent so much just to only be able to use half.

it is a really nice size cage, it was a little complicated to put together since the instructions are not the best but I love it!! comes with everything you need for your ferret (water bottle, litter box, bed and food tray)

It’s bigger then I imagined but putting it together even with two people took 3 hours some of the holders broke and the plastic rods that you put the cage bars through sometimes got stuck but all in all I’d recommend it.
