    Great peace of mind

This collar is so helpful! Wherever we go we always feel better about bringing Rocky along instead of leaving him back at the house. The app makes it so much easier being able to see exactly where he is while we're away. Not to mention we can make sure the sitter is exercising him too!

Doesn't do what I expected it to do.

This device usually tracks your phone and not your dog.. The collar is usually connected to your phone via Bluetooth or to the base unit in the house.. The data you're getting is actually GPS data from your phone If you are within 100 ft of your dog.. The collar is usually connected to your phone via Bluetooth or to the base unit in the house.. The data you're getting is actually GPS data from your phone If you are within 100 ft of your dog.. History is presented in a Facebook like timeline, so it will tell you where you are with the exact location of your dog. But that information is actually from your phone and not from the collar. Those little maps that show your dog walks are actually monitoring you and not your dog. I often let my dogs run off leash, If they get out of sight and I become worried I'd like to have the peace of mind of being able to turn on live mode and see where they are and whether they're moving towards me or away from me. This application does not do that. Lost dog mode only appears to update every 60 seconds I also like to see a history where my dogs have been. Competing applications have temperature maps where they spend most of their time. So you have an idea about not only where they went but how long they spent there. The Fi2 doesn't do any of this. I will say that this device may function for someone who only wants to know if their dog has escaped from the home O Or they want to do some basic tracking of where they've been with their dog. However there are better options that are cheaper. In addition your device is built into your collar, so if your collar gets all nasty. What do you do? Customer support was also not helpful. When I had trouble connecting the base unit to my Wi-Fi network, their suggestion was to get a new router or upgrade the OS on my phone. I ended up resolving the problem myself by deleting and recreating my network. In addition I think the collar looks surprisingly uncomfortable and clunky. … more
