    Happy with it :)

Fantastic device! Have to charge it often but its accuracy is well worth the trouble, especially after the last update. It's amazing how well it pinpoints my dog's location!

    Doesn't track in forest

By newfmom on Aug 30, 2020

I really was hopeful that this would work for us, but it doesn't. We live in an area without cell service, so we're limited in which pet trackers are options. The reliance on module to module communication seemed like it would solve our problem. Unfortunately, the Findster Duo doesn't. The reliance on module to module communication seemed like it would solve our problem. Unfortunately, the Findster Duo doesn't. It will track our dog if he is within sight on our walks, but if he's more than about 1/8th to a 14th of a mile away--and we can't see him--the guardian module loses connection with the pet module and we can't track him. We walk in a forested area with some hills, so I wasn't expecting the device to work at the 3 mile level, but I was expecting something more than 1/8th of a mile. For us, it just doesn't work. It quickly loses connection and it's often slow to update the dogs position when it is connected. A couple smaller issues. First, the support is only by email. The response is usually within 24 hours, but they don't appear to work on the weekends. Not a deal breaker, but a little annoying Second, the device was accurate tracking the path of our walks, but not the distance. For walks around 1 mile it was accurate, but when we'd walk 3-4 miles, the path shown was accurate, but the distance was way off. Not a big deal for us--we only wanted to be able to track our dog if he ran after a deer and was out of sight. But, if you're interested in accurately tracking your pet's activity, I don't think this is the best device. … more

We've had our Findster Duo for over a year and we love it! It's reliable and has never let us down. Updates the position fast so you always know where your pet is and it has a long range. Love the not having a monthly fee. Worth every penny!!! We love our Finster!

After a few past experiences with the competition, I heard about this product and decided to give it a try. I was somewhat bracing for disappointment but was pleasantly surprised! I'm glad to report that Findster delivers on every aspect, it's a well thought out device that finally brought me peace of mind

What you NEED it to do.

I have tested this thing in distance up to 210 yards as my boy wonders the property. I have also hiked in dense trees in the mountains. This has been spot on. At one point I was disappointed for about 10 seconds until I saw my dog poke his head up 200 yards away right where the map was showing him. I used to use whistle until they required wifi. This is far better then whistle. It updates pretty much all the time. I have recalled him and have watched him move on the map. This is fantastic because when he gets too close to neighbors I can recall him to just back up...which yes oddly he knows that command. I can watch him move back into the "fenced area" and he is good to go. I was so I have tested this thing in distance up to 210 yards as my boy wonders the property. This has been amazing. I gave 4 stars only because the charge time and charger and it does hiccup when it connects. I have to charge each night... the charger is .. weird and loose fitting so I have a dedicated space for it... I have no idea what the guardian is for, BUT THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT thing is the accuracy of my boys location. I have NOT been disappointed. Multiple "fences" that you can outline your self.. not just a circle on a map. It is a really great product. Very impressed... and I'll take the location accuracy over the other things any day! … more
