FitPAWS Dog Hurdle Set

I have only used this leash a couple of times so far but I love it. I am using it to teach my 30 lb beagle to come when called and to give him more freedom in areas with less people. So far it has held up well and seems very sturdy compared to similar leashes I have looked at. The only improvement I made was to tie a small loop about halfway down to allow me to rein him in easier when needed. I am really glad I waited and passed over cheaper versions of this leash.

We were so excited about this set, and the other reviews were so positive! I agree that it’s lightweight and portable, and the design is clever.. if you’re only setting them up on a perfectly level surface indoors. We tried this set outside first, and spent more time picking up jumps and pieces than actually introducing/training the dogs. Even a little breeze and the whole setup comes crashing down. Do I want my dog to trip on a jump and get hurt? OF COURSE NOT! But these are so delicate that they are useless even as cavaletti because they fall before you can get near them. It’s also miserable to put the set back in the bag, and I don’t imagine the zipper will survive that stress for long. Love We were so excited about this set, and the other reviews were so positive! Still gave it 3 stars because if you set it up indoors, on concrete, it’s less flimsy (but who wants to jump or work their dog on concrete?! Even the rubber mats made it less stable.) … more

Cones are nice and substantial. Using cones to hold jump bars is clever, cost effective, space-saving, and versatile. The system works well. It’s portability is a nice feature and it’s not overly flimsy for practical purposes.

As with any pieced conditioning equipment, the pieces should be able to to "break away" if the dog moves incorrectly or accidentally knocks it as this is a safety factor. FitPaws is one of the best companies in this market. I love their products.
