4 Customer Questions
I have a 35 lb French Bulldog who recently had spinal surgery and will require range of motion therapy at home to help him regain strength and hopefully be able to walk again. My question is what size peanut should I purchase? I plan on laying him across the middle with the ball ends on either side.

We recommend measuring your pet to determine which size would best suit them. The dimensions of the Extra Small is 34 x 16 x 16 inches, the Small is 38 x 22 x 22 inches, and the Medium is 40 x 24 x 24 inches.
Does this come with a pump?

This stability ball includes an inflation pump with purchase.
So if my Vizsla is about 21-22in at the shoulder I should get the medium or the small? Should his shoulder height match the dimensions of the ball or be 1 size bigger?

For Core Conditioning, measure the length of your dog when it is in a neutral standing position from the front legs to the back legs. For Weight Bearing Activities, choose a ball that is slightly under your dog's withers (or highest part of the shoulders where the neck meets the back).
Will the nubs hurt or be uncomfortable if the dog is laying across the middle rather than standing on it? Our dog is very thin with muscle loss, hence the need for the ball exercises.

Many vets and rehab specialists use the peanut for just this purpose and there is a smooth section in the middle we call a “saddle” so that is a good option for this use with the peanut. When inflated, the peanut should “give” a little with the weight of the dog, so the trax nubs should not cause pain, in fact, it might actually provide positive stimulation for the dog similar to a massage type mat. But please watch the dog for signs of discomfort and move the dog to the smooth section if that is a concern.
