good for ambient heat
By dfunk on Jan 19, 2021
Using this for ambient heat in my ball python's 40 gallon terrarium. When put at one end, it helps maintain a temperature gradient. It doesn't give off light, so it can be used for both day and night. The 100 watt bulb isn't strong enough to heat the 40 gallon on its own, (my house is 66 deg F) but that's my fault for buying the wrong wattage bulb not a flaw in the product.

Didn't last
By Victoria on Jan 24, 2021
So I bought the 150w back in December to keep my 40g terrarium warm for my python! It last a month and went out Mid Jan where it's about to be the coldest time of year! Either this product just sucks. Or I just got unlucky with this emitter.

Disappointed
By Maddie on Dec 2, 2020
I ordered this ceramic heater back in July. It worked great for a few months and then it just stopped. I tried different electrical outlets, I tried different light fixtures, it just simply stopped working. I’m glad that when I did buy it, it was on sale so I wasn’t out too much money. In a perfect world, everything would work exactly as it’s supposed to, so I’m guessing it was just a bad bulb and I got unlucky.

Seems to do its job
By JellyBeansHuman on Nov 9, 2020
Our beardie seems to have no complaints! This keeps her temps where are supposed to be and this has lasted longer than an other brand we have bought!

Perfect for a more natural night time heat!
By SpudBrothers on Jun 11, 2020
I didn't want to use a heat mat for several reasons but also didn't want to use a red heat bulb (as much as I like being able to see my lizard girl) for night. This has helped keep her warm and feeling safe since it does not put her in a spot light. It also has helped with high humidity and bring it down. I got a thermostat for it but the lamp dome has a dimmer as well. I feel better with the thermostat but you can find an appropriate consistent temp with the dimmer.

By Rafy on Jun 24, 2020
I bought 3 Of The 150W Ones & It Only Raised The Temp 5 Degrees More Than My 75W Red Lights That I Have In My Breeder Tanks. Not Worth The Price At All

Fits Zoo Med Deep Double Dome; Works Great for Birds
By VizslaMom on Mar 6, 2020
As I have two older Diamond Doves and don't use the heat in the house, a heat lamp is necessary for the colder months. The cage they are in is quite large (23"x32"x37"), giving them room to get up close or stay very far from the heat. I would NOT recommend this bulb (150W) if the cage is small and they are unable to pick the temperature that they are comfortable at. I am able to leave it on the cage directly with no issues, and I accidentally left in on with the cage cover over it and nothing happened (thank goodness!). That does bring me to the only "negative". You cannot tell it is on as it emits no light. For me, that is a positive as I sleep in the same room as the cage, but it can cause As I have two older Diamond Doves and don't use the heat in the house, a heat lamp is necessary for the colder months.
