  • Impressed with the quality

Over a month ago we purchased one of these lightless heat lamps from another vendor. While moving the cage one afternoon, the lamp fell and broke even though area where it fell was carpeted. (That should give you a hint to its quality.) We needed a replacement and chose Chewy's this time around. This lamp is solid, base to tip and it heats very well to keep the cage warm even when our house is cool. Very happy with the purchase and would buy again, but hopefully it will last a lot longer than the last one did. ;-)

I chose the Fluker's Heat Emitter over a heat lamp for safety reasons. It is used in a pen for two domestic mini bunnies who were abandoned in my garden and rescued at death's door. The vet was prepared to euthanize one. I nursed them back over several weeks and now they are flourishing in a pen in my laundry room. They spend most time out of their little teepee house under the heat emitter on a cushion of baby quilts. It gives me such joy to see them healthy, warm and happy. While the Fluker emitter now being used has had a long life, I bought two emitters in last purchase to be sure I have one at hand at all times as winter approaches. With the cold nights approaching we needed extra heat for Ms. Tiggywinkle, our newest family member! We tried the warming pad but that wasn't doing it. So this was next and it is wonderful. The heat is perfect and keeps our hedgehog at a comfortable temperature. Thanks Chewy for carrying this!

These are exactly what the boys needed. I have a 50 gal and a 40 gal aquarium for my iguana and my beardie. They really do like having the extra heat.

Installed on 11/25/18, no longer producing heat on 12/7/18. Seriously, burned out in two weeks...what a waste of money. Do NOT buy.

  • This item sucked

The bulb only emits heat about 3 inches so it didn't keep my hedgehog warm at all but on top of the bulb not emitting heat it arrived broken. The top part of the bulb (metal piece that screws into the lamp) looked like it had just been glued together but not very good because as soon as I took it out of the box it was starting to fall apart, I went ahead and tried to screw it into the lamp because it seemed like a pretty easy fix so if it worked I would have kept it and tried to fix it myself. But, it didn't work and the return process seemed to take forever so I ended up just keeping the bulb and the clamp lamp and threw them away. Wasn't worth the money.
