Stick to pellet version
Got this to try for my hatchlings since they liked the pellets and these were smaller pieces... but these NEVER softened or swelled up in the water and remained hard,and my hatchings hardly touched them. I will remain to stick with the pellets.
Tortoise food
I bought this brand for some hatchling leopard tortoises because the pieces are smaller than the other brand i normally use. After having the other brand, they were reluctant to eat this one, but they have finally come around. They still go to the other brand if given the choice, i just have to take it outside and break it up with a hammer first. I guess it depends on how much time you have, if you feed this vs the other larger brand.
Seems Good
I have a wild box turtle that has been eating the dry cat food so I purchased this to see if it likes it. The pieces are a lot smaller than the cat food and maybe hard for the turtle to pick off the dish. I can't tell if the turtle likes it yet.
Good Product
My Russian tortoise originally didn't even recognize this stuff as food, so I pretty much put it in storage for 8 months. Today, I found it and decided to give it to him and see what he thinks. He loves it! I don't know what changed, but he ate a lot of it. I think they like the color too, as opposed to a lot of other tortoise pellets that are just brown and dark.

Always looking for something different to feed my box turtle so far so good. Seems fresh well packed and good value.

I am hoping that when she comes out of hibernation she will eat it. For now it allows me to know there is food when she does come out and walk around.

Sulcata Tortoise
This product was exactly what I needed for my Sulcata tortoise. He eats a lot of fresh veggies and I top it off with some of these pellets and it will last him longer an he eats them. I've tried other pellet products and he won't eat others. I will continue to shop with Chewy and continue to recommend Chewy to anyone with a pet!
My Russian didn't like it
I had purchased pellets before that my tortoise loved. I guess I messed up because these aren't the ones I purchased prior. She will nibble at them if nothing else is Available but not her favorite by any stretch.
