It is helping my Cat’s anxiety

I recently adopted the Cat I was medically fostering for surgery for the removal of a cancerous mass on his head. He was so anxious at the shelter they had to give him gabapentin dally. One of the Vets spoke with me about fostering him during his recovery, I agreed. He is a big boy, he came from a multi-cat home but he wasn’t coping well with the other Cats. I also have a multi-cat home, but all my Cats get along well. I began fostering him, he was in a room by himself, he was an anxious mess, everything scared him. After his recovery from surgery, I asked if I could continue to foster him, as he was becoming accustomed to my home and he was becoming less anxious. I fell in love with him and after a couple of weeks fostering him, I adopted him. He met his Kitty family, who are all rescues as well. One of my Cats has Cerebellar hypoplasia, he walks awkwardly and falls a lot. This was scaring my new Kitty and he became aggressive with my disabled Kitty. Our Vet recommended trying this transdermal medication. It is easy to administer and is helping to reduce the anxiety level of my new Kitty, he is less aggressive towards my disabled Kitty, which makes us all happy.

The click applicator makes it easy to get a consistent dose. The cat doesn't love us applying it to his ear, but he far prefers it to the pill we were putting in his food. Thanks to the transdermal version, we're not throwing out uneaten food and medicine anymore. We're still not sure how much the medicine is helping the cat, but at least now we can have a better test.

Game Changer in every way

This product is a lifesaver for my cat. She is small and has a lot of anxiety. The medication in pill form helps her but I have to cut them into super small pieces and the dosages are not even. Plus it terrifies her to take them. This transdermal formula is a lifesaver, and the process of having it ordered through a prescription from my vet was so simple. I wish I wouldn’t have waited so long to do this, and I’m so grateful to chewy and their pharmacists for getting this to me so quickly

Tames even the wildest

My cat Batman has behavioral issues, and we've tried everything before medication. Problem is he hates to take his medicine orally. He fights me every time. So we switched to transdermal application. It's far less traumatizing for both of us now, so this is great for cats who hate taking oral medication.

Not effective

This stuff worked at first but after repeated use the pores in my cats ears became clogged and required daily cleaning with special solutions. My cat did not like the repeated cleanings and over time she became more and more resistant to the process. Ultimately I do not believe this compounded product to be effective. I cannot recommend it at all.

Good for anxiety

The cat licks incessantly, he has OCD, but we believe this medicine is helping him calm down and not self flagellate. Hoping it works. The vet suggested it and we purchased it here.

A Miracle!!!

My 10 year old cat (Sophie) has always had a lot of anxiety. She seems to be very easily over-stimulated. She loves to snuggle and then, all at once, will bite into your hand and draw blood! Her entire life I have never known what would set her off. I discussed the situation with my vet, after she noticed my bitten up hands and arms, and she suggested Fluoxetine. She has been on this for about a month and she NEVER bites anymore, is much calmer, and I think, much happier. I just got a new puppy, which would normally send her into a frenzy but instead she is like the puppy whisperer, playing with the puppy all day long. Trust me, that is not at all what the old Sophie would have done. I just ordered a 90 day supply and she will be on this for the rest of her days.

Saving Household

I have a very aggressive 16 pound American Bobtail. This is for her to protect another cat. She’s still active but peace is restored. Vet’s office couldn’t get refill for me in under 3 weeks. Chewy had it to me in 3 days including vet approval. Price was better, too.

Great for aggressive cats

My cat has been on this med for about 1.5 years and I’ve been filling it at a local pharmacy where they compound it. The price is MUCH higher there and they claimed that the tubes these come in are being discontinued so I was happy to find here on Chewy. The base that the local pharmacy made theirs in gave my cat very bad sores on her ears so I’m hoping this one might be made a tad different but I won’t know until I’ve used it for a bit. My only complaints so far would be that the applicator tip is flat rather than angled so it makes it a bit harder to apply in her ears and also I noticed when I first ordered it (a tad ahead of time as to not run out) that it was compounded 2 months prior, sometimes I feel that it loses its potency when it’s “old.” I understand mixing up more at once, but having it made that long ago and if you don’t end up using RIGHT away is kind of worrisome. I figured it would be compounded when the order was placed. Other than that no complaints, I hope it works better for my girl, I was glad to find it in a smaller amount and for a MUCH cheaper price.

Works Great!

It works, I have tried several different calming items from the pet store's nothing worked! I have 1 cat, out of 5 that will howl and howl at times but this actually calmed him down!
