    Works great

By David on May 13, 2021

Works great but vacuum tube is a bit long for smaller tanks, I am able to use this on my 10 gallon but not 3 gallon tank. With a primer pump could probably work better for starting the syphon, just not enough room to work with in starting water flow in a small tank. Already have the shorter Aqueon 1”inch vacuum tube got this mostly for the end attachments which do fit on the Aqueon vacuum tube. The hose is also on the shorter side but the hose is easy to find at hardware stores. Added Aqueon vacuum tube in picture for reference.

    Slow but moderately effective

    By Toolman2112 on May 1, 2021

Works OK, but slow because of small diameter vacuum tube and even smaller drain tube. Drain tube is also thin walled, making it prone to kinking at top of vacuum tube further slowing water flow. Would be good for smaller tanks but takes a long time to clean a 55 gallon tank.

Doesn't look like what it supposed to in the picture It is very small I swear it's barely even usable for a 10 gallon

    Useless cleaner

By Walter on Apr 23, 2020

Bought this for a deeper tank and needed a long tube. This ended up terrible and useless. Takes forever to siphon water out, hose is way too short (and narrow) and doesnt stay in bucket/drain etc at all. Suction seems minimal and does clean debris properly. I tried to use it numerous times, never got it to work good. In order to get initial water flow to start you have to "dip" the tube in the water a few times, which I'm sure makes my fish very cranky. Pain to get flow started, not a good clean, and even just a simple water change without thorough cleaning takes way too long

Gravel guard great, tubing length too short

By KatzenMama on Sep 9, 2019

I love the gravel guard, my old cleaner would keep getting completely clogged up with gravel, and would have to lift it out of water and restart siphoning many times, this is better. Not sure I like having to move up and down to get the siphoning started, haven't got it down yet. Worst feature is the short length of the tubing. It does not reach from the tank to the bucket on the floor. I had to buy a length of tubing and replace that part of it, extra expense.

    Okay I guess

By Stablegirl on Aug 18, 2019

One thing I did not like is packaging squished the tube and it has a permanent kink which hinders water flow. This part is not their fault but I felt it was just too skinny. I have not been able to find one just right they are too thin or too fat.

By zuki on Oct 11, 2019

This is the easiest siphon system I have ever used, and the least hassle. I love it.

    Nice vacuum

By WVfish on May 27, 2018

I really like this product with its long tube for tall tanks and an extension. It also has nice attachments. It is self-siphoning and does so faster than my old one. The tube is skinny which allows for better cleaning without sucking out too much water very quickly. The only problem I have with it is that the flexible tubing tends to bend at the junction with the vacuum and it closes off. I may figure out a way to keep it from bending there and it will be perfect.

I have bought many of these same type products for years to be disappointed every single time...and this one was no exception.
