Description

Ensure your Fluval G advanced filter is operating at its best with Fluval's G6 Tri-Ex Waste Adsorbing Cartridge. Fish waste, uneaten food and other organic matter can create toxic levels of phosphate, ammonia and nitrates, which can cause fish stress, illness and even fish loss. Designed for freshwater aquariums, this Fluval cartridge combines the strength of the Fluval G phosphate, nitrate and carbon cartridges to effectively trap these pollutants to encourage cleaner and clearer water. The G6 Tri-Ex Filter Cartridge can bind over 9000 mg of nitrate and over 1100 mg of phosphate. Fluval cartridges help you maintain the quality of your aquarium water for the health and well-being of your finned friends.

Key Benefits
  • Controls and traps phosphates, nitrates, and organic pollutants in freshwater aquariums.
  • 3-in-1 media combination provides maximum performance.
  • Helps prevent uncontrolled algae growth and keeps water clean and healthy.
  • Specialized mesh size of carbon component maximizes surface-to-volume ratio for optimized performance.
  • Binds over 9,000 mg (more than 15 mg/L in a 600 L aquarium) of nitrate and over 1100 mg (more than 2 mg/L in a 600 L aquarium) of phosphate.

Instructions

For new aquariums, use Tri-Ex Cartridge at day one and test for phosphate/nitrate levels bi-monthly. When one or both ion levels start to rise again, it is time to replace the cartridge. For established aquariums it is important to remove excess phosphate or nitrate levels through water changes or Fluval G Phosphate/Nitrate Cartridges prior to using the Tri-Ex Cartridge. For proper filter placement, follow cartridge replacement procedures outlined in the Fluval G Filter manual.
