How many bags would I need to use in a fx4 and fx6 to bring the ph down from 8 to 7.4

The Fx6 has a media capacity of 11.5 Liters so you could start with half and then test the water for pH levels.
When should I change the granules, how often? Can I mix them with carbon?

Be sure to replace the filter media at least every three to four weeks and give the filter housing a quick rinse. This product is highly concentrated for maximum effectiveness so there is no need to mix it with carbon.

I have a Fluval 305 filter and I just bought this for the first time as my PH levels are low. Since it is not in a pouch where do I place the peat granules in the filter?
