    Fish love it

    By Momma65 on Jul 29, 2020

I ordered this veggie food, because I like to give my fish variety. I now addit to their diet. Got the bottle of Fluval Vegetarian Flaked Fish Food in just a couple days. Awesome delivery time. I put some in my two tanks that evening and my fish gobbled them up. The only con that I would have is that it is not very much fish food for the price.

    Fluval Vegetarian ``Flaked`` Fish Food

    By Chris29909 on Apr 25, 2020

I really liked this flaked Vegetarian fish food, It does not break down and get powderly , it floats on the surface for a good amount of time in fact very little sinks. The fish seem to really like it. I use this for my African cichlid Mbunas for over a year now and have never had any food related issues. The bottle opening is to small for a teaspoon to fit in

I thought they looked great, they thought it tasted horrible...

By TheRatDragon on Dec 14, 2018 Top 50 Contributor

I thought my Tropical Community Aquarium containing 1 adult male Sunset Wag Platy, 1 baby male Rainbow Platy (who's only about 2 months old), and 1 adult male Zebra Danio would appreciate these high-quality, veggie formulated flakes, because of their high-quality ingredients. However, when I started to try these out, the first to try was the male Sunset Wag Platy, who immediately spit them out. The baby Platy pecked a bit, but just spit them right out. The Zebra Danio refused to even try them (and he goes crazy for flakes)! Now, I'm not the kind of person who will try them once and never try them again, so every few days I tried these again for 3 more times. Same response, except the adult Platy I thought my Tropical Community Aquarium containing 1 adult male Sunset Wag Platy, 1 baby male Rainbow Platy (who's only about 2 months old), and 1 adult male Zebra Danio would appreciate these high-quality, veggie formulated flakes, because of their high-quality ingredients. Same response, except the adult Platy decided that he actually wanted to eat a few, then leave the rest to rot (or for the Shrimp to clean them up afterwards). I noticed that these flakes have a kind of strange, smooth texture like the fabric of a silk dress, so I'm wondering if that's the reason why they don't like it. Or maybe it's because they just prefer more meaty foods than veggie-based foods. However, I think I'll try the Krill flakes instead and see if they enjoy it more. … more

    Great price

    By jdn112011 on Mar 4, 2017

Got a great price on this from chewy and there is a pretty good ingredient list to this food. Using it for mbuna cichlids, electric yellows, and was looking at tropheus with a stronger vegetarian diet though only ended up with one for now. Seems a good food for mix in and growing smaller herbivorous cichlids. Package could be a bit more convenient but it's not terrible, you just have to pour into the cap. It's nice to get a large quantity at the same time.
