Where are these sourced from?
Answer by ChewyJan 06, 2020
This product was sourced in China.

How are the FlyGrubs (both the black soldier fly larvae and the mealworms) dried? Are they microwaved or freeze dried? Are they hollow inside? Thanks
Answer by ChewyFeb 02, 2021
When the grubs are fully grown, they are collected, oven dried then boxed. They are not hollowed out. FLYGRUBS are nutrient dense and contain, on average, 85x more calcium than mealworms, about 40% crude protein and about 27% crude fat.

How long does this box of worms last once opened? We want to get the 10lb version, but don't want it to go bad before we use it all.
Answer by ChewyApr 27, 2020
The shelf life for FLYGRUBS is 1 year from that date they were packed.

How much should I feed daily per bird?
Answer by ChewyMar 12, 2020
The recommended feeding is to give to chicken by the handful, scatter them on the ground, mix in with feeds or place in dish. A couple handfuls is recommended.

Good stuff

I needed to up the proteins in my chicky birds diets. I had found that Feed FLYGRUBS Black Soldier Fly Larvae was one of the best ways. So far my egg production went up and their shells are stronger. These larva smell and look very fresh. I’m ver happy with this product!

They smell beefy

I don't think it would matter how they smell; my chickens love these. The added protein and calcium are just what my older hens need for faithful egg production and strong shells. They don't like to eat the calcium pellets, and it's hard to make sure they get the protein they need because they are heavy duty egg laying hens. These treats are just the ticket. I found the best price here as well. So, I'm as happy as the chickens.

Great product, price reasonable, good quality.

I use this daily as a treat to get the girls back in the coop in the evening. The product is well packaged so that I don't have to worry about moisture or mold in the grub. This high protein snack keeps my hens healthy.

Chickens love the meal worms

The meal worms are perfect for my chickens every morning they file out line up and feast on these babies. Now every time I get by them they think they're going to get them again

Bluebirds love these!

Bluebirds love these as well as the occasional sneak from a Robin or wren! Quality product without a lot of crush with other kinds of packaging.

Wowzer - these are great!

Of course the chickens love mealworms/fly grubs, but there is just no comparison with these to the ones we usually get (from China?). BIG and yummy looking (if you're a chicken). Highly recommended!

Backyard Birds Feeding Frenzy!

I've Switched mealworms to flygrubs to feed backyard birds because of the price and company's sustainability concept. Great products. Birds love them!
