    LOVED BY WILDLIFE

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I bought these in lieu of dried mealworms to try something different since I already offer live mealworms to my wild birds. I couldn't believe how big these grubs are! I wasn't sure if my little wrens and chickadees would be able to eat them. It took a few days for the birds to adjust to the new offering, but they really love it! It must be more filling because it doesn't disappear as quickly as the dried mealworms. I don't even mind when the crows have some since they don't empty the feeder now. Even the squirrels have stopped by for a bite or two. I'm very happy with this product!

    Way better than mealworms!

    By on

We only have 3 chickens, but I highly recommend the big box, which has lasted us for months. These have been the best training tool and treat Imaginable. The girls come *running* when I get them out. It’s allowed us to train our chickens to come, to perch on our hands, and to be petted. Best yet, it’s a healthy, nutritious treat that encourages good egg production.

    Chicken love it.

With the extreme heat of South Texas Summers, I was looking for an all natural supplement, for my pullets, which would help with the intake of protein and other nutrients as their food intake decreased due to the extreme heat. I was concerned about a long recovery from molting and a drastic reduction in egg production during the fall and early winter. Not only was I very pleased with the results, my pullets, Old and young, absolutely love the FlyGrub; they wait for me in the morning and surround me, as soon as they see me, demanding the nutritious delicacy. As a bonus, the pullets get encouraged to scratch, so I am now using them to turn a compost pile, by throwing a handful of FlyGrub on top With the extreme heat of South Texas Summers, I was looking for an all natural supplement, for my pullets, which would help with the intake of protein and other nutrients as their food intake decreased due to the extreme heat. The older members of the flock are laying nicely and only about 20 to 25 % went into molting and they appear to be coming out of it faster than usual. Good product and hens love it. … more

    Superior in every way!

These mealworms are definitely superior in every way! Size, quality, packaging-my girls love, love, love these worms! And, I have been able to rehabilitate my rooster (from flogging me) with these worms. This is the only mealworm for me and my flock!

    The girls love ‘em!

Purchased Flygrubs when we ran out of mealworms. I was on Chewy to order cat food and thought I’d see what was available for our chickens. So happy I found these! Using them as a protein supplement for winter. The girls go crazy for them. They don’t smell as terrible as the mealworms and I also enjoy the resealable bag.

    Crazy for grubs

My chickens are usually get mealworms and I thought I'd change it up a little bit and holy cow they love these things and try to peck the cup I use to dispense with out of my hand to get to the grubs. Will be getting again for the ladies as they love them.

    My hens love these!

    By on

It's typically difficult to have much good to say about dried insects (grubs or worms), since I've started having chickens, I have to say, making my hens happy simply puts a smile on my face; my hens are spoiled and I only want the best for them, and these plump FLYGRUBS are it! When I opened the bag, the smell was surprisingly pleasant, I almost tried one . I use to feed my hens mealworms and those smelled fishy. FLYGRUBS are bigger than the mealworms and have waaaay more calcium! My hens run and jump and gather all around me when I come bearing these special treats. One thing, I suggest you might want to use scissors when you open the bag because I ripped mine open to quickly and damaged It's typically difficult to have much good to say about dried insects (grubs or worms), since I've started having chickens, I have to say, making my hens happy simply puts a smile on my face; my hens are spoiled and I only want the best for them, and these plump FLYGRUBS are it! Chickens LOVE it

    By on

I got these for my grandparents (I have to do all of their online shopping haha) Maybe I just didn’t know what 5 pounds of mealworms looked like (because I didn’t lol).... but the box is bigger than I expected..... obviously it takes quite a few of them to make 5 pounds! But their chickens would absolutely die for these mealworms! They eat them up!!! My grandparents said they’ll be ordering more. They’re a bit spoiled!

Stronger eggshells Our girls absolutely LOVE these Flygrubs. I used to give them mealworms in addition to their layer fedd but since the weather has turned colder, things have changed. One of our ladies stopped laying altogether and another is laying "soft" eggs.. i mean super fragile. We bought these in November on Chewy and, within the week, we are consistently getting 2 healthy hard shelled eggs per day and sometimes a 3rd egg every few days!! Definitely will reorder... one this box is gone!

    Awesome find!!!!

I'm so happy I bought these! The box were WAY more mealworms than I expected! I'm so excited to use these on my chickens since many acquaintances of mine have used these and LOVE THESE!!! What I like about these is that the chickens I plan to get will be free range but these allow me to have extra feed for them and I'm sure they'll love them since it's highly acclaimed!
