No mixing required. Shake well before using. Read entire label and use accordingly. This product is intended to be used on horses, ponies, and dogs to control and repel biting and nuisance flying insects. Thoroughly brush the animal's coat prior to application to remove loose dirt and debris. Turn nozzle to ON position. Apply evenly on entire animal with trigger spray, paying particular attention to legs, shoulders, shanks, neck and ears where flies are most often seen. Do not saturate animal. Brush lightly after application. Do not spray in sensitive areas such as eyes, mouth, nose and genitalia. Do NOT apply on immature animals. Cover eyes of animal when spraying around its face, or apply this product to a towel and wipe onto skin around face of animal. This product will act as a skin emollient as well, but be careful to avoid spraying open wounds or severe skin irritations. If in doubt, test a small area before making full application. Repeat application as needed.
This flyspray smells like cinnamon and cloves. My horse lives outside 24/7 and I found that this spray significantly decreased the scabby fly bites on her stomach. I also have not found a tick on her since I began using it. Definitely the most effective natural spray I have tried. Other fly sprays say not to get it on your skin and to wash immediately if it does... if chemical based sprays are that toxic to humans why would you put it on your horse every day?
Of all the "all natural" fly sprays I have ever used on my horses, this one hands down worked but best, but 2 of my 4 horses were irritated by this enough that they now have bald patches on the insides of their legs from it (I am working to get them comfortable again). I think there is a form of Rubbing Alcohol in this, so it was drying for them. Kept the flies away, but I can't use it because of the irritation on the two horses.... So just keep in mind if you get the same reaction.
Excellent! This smells great and is safe for horse and owner! Finally, an premixed, natural product.
not only repels flys and bugs, but kills them... It also smell amazingly pleasant. I highly recommend this spray.
My horse detests citronella, which is the most common ingredient in natural fly sprays. This spray is much more pleasing and far more effective than any natural spray I’ve found. Like all natural sprays, it’s effective duration is limited, but it seems to last longer than anything else I’ve tried. The only downfall to this product is that it is very difficult to find—fortunately Chewy has it!
